IGNIS Mini Esthe Mask Smoothing

2ヶ月前、ハイエンドのスキンケア会社のイグニスがトレジャーラインミニエステとして４種類のマスクを発売しました。私は乾燥肌と敏感肌に悩まされていますので、ミニエステ マスクスムージングを試 してみることにしました。マスクスムージングは肌を瑞々しくし、落ち着かせてくれます。このマスクスムージングはパウダー、ジェル、カップ、スパチュラがセットでついています。マスクを作るために、まずプラスチックのカップにパウダーを入れ、さらにジェルを加えて約１分間ほど材料を混ぜ合わせます。混ぜ合わせた物はフワフワした質感で淡いグリーン色になります。いつもご自身でやられているスキンケアを終えた後、スパチュラを使って顔に塗っていき、約3分間放置します。終わりましたら、スパチュラやティッシュを用いてマスクを取り除きます。この時に水で洗い流さないようにしてください。

Two months ago, high-end skincare company Ignis released four different masks in their Treasure Mini Esthe Line. Since I suffer from both dry and irritated skin, I decided to give their Mini Esthe Mask Smoothing a try. Mask Smoothing is a mask to both hydrate and calm the skin. It comes with a packet of powder, gel, and a mixing bowl and spatula. To make the mask, pour the powder into the plastic mixing bowl, add the gel and mix the ingredients for about one minute. The mixture should have a fluffy texture and light green color. Apply the product to your face with the spatula after you have gone through your regular skincare routine and leave it on for 3 minutes. Use the spatula to remove the product or tissue it off when you are done. Do not wash off the mask with water.


マスクスムージングは顔に塗ると非常に冷たくて、気持ちを落ち着かせてくれます。少し強いラベンダーの香りがありま すが、強すぎるということはありません。マスクを取り除いた後、私の顔の赤みがいくらか引いたように感じましたが、もしかしたらマスクの色がグリーンだからかもしれません(緑色は赤色を中和するので)。マスクの原材料は、いつも私の皮膚を痛めるエタノールとメントールを含んでいますが、全くヒリヒリしませんでした。 これはマスクを長時間塗布しないからかもしれません。私は寝る直前にマスクを使いましたが、一日を家でのんびり過ごすという日以外でしたら、やはり寝る前 の使用をお勧めします。寝る前に顔がちょっとベトつきましたが、朝には滑らかになっていました。

Mask Smoothing is incredibly cool on the face and quite soothing. It has a lavender scent that is somewhat strong but not overpowering. After removing the mask, I noticed that some of the redness in my face had dissipated although that might have been due to the green color of the mask (as green neutralizes red). Though the mask ingredients do contain ethanol and menthol, which my skin often cannot tolerate, they did not irritate at all. This could be because the mask is not applied for very long. I used the mask right before going to bed which is what I recommend unless you plan to spend the day relaxing at home. My face did feel slightly sticky before going to bed but was smooth by morning.

ミニエステ マスクはSKIIのシートマスクなどの他のハイエンドマスクよりは安いですが、それでもお値段は高めです。マスクスムージングには２～３枚のマスクを作るのには充分すぎるほどの商品が入っていますが、材料が包みに入っていて一度開けると保存がきかないため、マスクの材料は1度きりしか使えません。使用してみた結果は、もう一度使ってみようと説得させるほど劇的なものではなかったですが、 マスクスムージングは暑い日のお肌には良いコスメかもしれません。このイグニスのミニエステマスクスムージングは1,575円(税込み)です。シートマスクに興味がある方に、イグニスは日々のスキンケア用のネイチャー ウォーター マスクも販売しています。

The mini-esthe mask is rather expensive though cheaper than some of the other high-end masks such as SKII's sheet masks. There is more than enough product in Mask Smoothing for two or three masks but because the mask ingredients come in packets and cannot be stored once opened, you cannot use the mask ingredients more than once. I cannot say that the results were dramatic enough to convince me to use it again but Mask Smoothing does seem like it would be a nice cosmetic treat for your skin on a hot day. One Ignis Mini-esthe Mask Smoothing is 1575 yen (including tax). For those of you interested in sheet masks, Ignis has also released the Nature Water Mask which is a sheet mask for regular skincare use.

豆腐の盛田屋 豆乳よーぐるとぱっく「玉の輿」(Soy Yogurt Face Mask, "Tama no Koshi")

豆腐の盛田屋の豆乳よーぐるとぱっく「玉の輿」は、大丸デパートのオンラインショップで最も売れているフェイスパックです。豆乳ベースのヨーグルト、ラクトフェリン、そしてローヤルゼリーが混合されており、肌を明るく、柔らかくしてくれます。使い方は、顔全体にパックをたっぷり塗り、５～10分おきます。パックは結構厚くてベトベトするので、水で完全に落とす前にコットンを使って少し取り除くことをオススメします。

The soy yogurt face pack "Tama no Koshi" from the Moritaya tofu company has been one of the top selling facial masks on the Daimaru Department store webshop. It contains a mixture of soy-based yogurt, lactoferrin (LF) and royal jelly to brighten and soften the skin. To use the mask, apply a generous amount of the product to the whole face and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Because the mask is quite thick and sticky, it is recommended that you use a cotton ball or pad to remove some of the product before washing it completely off with water.


このパックは無着色・パラベン不使用で肌に優しいスキンケア商品と宣伝されていますが、アルコールと香料を含んでいます。玉の輿を洗い流した後、私の顔は大きな赤い出来物で覆われていました。肌は柔らかくなった感じがしましたが、痒くてチクチクし、完全に治るまで数日間もかかりました。＠cosmeのレビューによると、他にも同じように残念な経験をした方がいるようです。玉の輿にはいくつか良いレビューもありますが、私の経験からすると他の皆さんにオススメはできません。玉の輿は1,575円(税込み)で送料別です。

Though the mask is advertised as a mild skincare product free of dyes or parabens, it contains alcohol and fragrance. After I washed off Tama no Koshi, I found that my face was completely covered in large red bumps. Though my skin did feel softer, it was itchy and irritated and took a couple of days to completely recover. According to reviews at @cosme, may others have also had poor experiences with this mask. There are a number of positive reviews of Tama no Koshi but my own experience makes me reluctant to recommend this product to anyone. Tama no Koshi is 1,575 yen (including tax) not including shipping.

The Body Shop Blush Trio in 01 Cool Dusk

プレシャスパールセントコレクションとして、ザ・ボディショップは２種類のベイクド・ミネラル ブラッシュトリオを発売しました。01クールダスクはピンクでクールトsーンの3色パレットで、02ウォームサンセットはウォームトーンの3色パレットです。アイトリオシャドウの様に、ブラッシュトリオパウダーは滑らかで肌に馴染みやすく、ゴージャスなパール感のある仕上がりになります。ボディショップによると01クールダスクは明るい～普通の肌、02ウォームサンセットは普通～暗い肌に適しているらしいですが、混ぜ合わせる色によってブラッシュの濃さを調節出来ます。01クールダスクの一番暗い色は私の肌には赤過ぎたので、ほんのり日焼けしたようなチークに見せるために、他の明るめの2色を使います。ブラッシュトリオの不満な点は、各色の量が均一ではなく、私のパレットには私がほとんど使えない濃い色が多く、明るめの色はほんの少ししか入っていなかった点です。それでも、私が購入したボディショップで最も明るい色が入っている01クールダスクを選んだのですが、、でもそれ以外の点には非常に満足しています。日本のボディショップで売られているブラッシュトリオは1つ2,625円(税込み)です。もしブラッシュトリオを付けるためのブラシを探しているのでしたら、ボディショップで売っている非常に質が良くて動物の毛を使用していないファイス＆ボディブラシの購入を強くお勧めします。

For their Precious Pearlescent collection, The Body Shop released two baked-mineral Blush Trios. 01 Cool Dusk is a pink, cool-toned palette of three shades while the equally beautiful 02 Warm Sunset consists of three warm shades. Like the Eye Trio shadows, the Blush Trio powders are satiny smooth and blend right into the skin, leaving a gorgeous pearly finish. The Body Shop recommends 01 Cool Dusk for fair to medium skin and 02 Warm Sunset for medium to dark skin but you can control the intensity of the blush by what shades you choose to mix together. I find that the darkest shade in 01 Cool Dusk to be much to red for my skin so I stick to using the two lighter shades to create a sun-kissed look on my cheeks. The only complaint I have regarding the Blush Trio is that there is not an equal amount of each shade and my palette contains very little of the lightest shade but a lot of the deepest shade which I cannot use. While at The Body Shop, I even picked out the 01 Cool Dusk palette that had the most of the lightest shade. Other than that, however, I am very happy with the palette. The Blush Trios sold at The Body Shop stores in Japan are 2,625 yen (including tax). If you are looking for a cheek brush to apply the Blush Trio, I highly recommend purchasing the high quality and cruelty-free Face and Body Brush from The Body Shop.

FANCL Cheek Color in Rose Pink

私はファンケルのブラッシュのローズピンクを手に入れました(ファンケルのブラッシュのクオリティについてもっと知りたい方、このエントリーを読んでみて下さい)。ローズピンクはピンクブロンズに似ていますが、ピンクブロンズがより少しイエロー・オレンジで金のラメが入っているのに対し、よりピンクで白のラメが入っています。肌につけると、その違いは更に僅かなものですが、ローズピンクの方がよりキラキラしています。個人的にローズピンクのピンク色は好みですし、ピンクブロンズのパールっぽい感じも好きです。両方とも自然でほのかに日焼けしたような感じですが、もうすぐ秋になりますので、恐らくローズピンクとその白いパール感の方がふさわしいと思います。税込みで950円です。

So, I finally got my hands on FANCL's blush in Rose Pink. (You can read a more detailed review of the quality of FANCL's blushes here.) Rose Pink is very similar to Pink Bronze, except that it is a slightly pinker blush with white shimmer while Pink Bronze is a hint more yellow/orange and contains gold shimmer. On the skin, the differences are even more subtle, though you can tell that Rose Pink is the more shimmery of the two. I personally prefer the pink color of Rose Pink and the pearly finish of Pink Bronze. Both give off a very natural, sun-kissed look but seeing that we are entering fall, Rose Pink is probably the more appropriate shade with its white pearls. 950 yen (including tax).

FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil

ファンケルのマイルドクレンジングオイルは最高のオイルベースのメイク落としとして＠コスメに比較的長い間ランクインしており、自分でそのメイク落としを試してしまった後では、もはや最高のメイク落としであると認めざるを得ません。ただ一押しのクレンジングオイルを乾いた瞼につけてマッサージし、水で洗い流せばメイクが簡単に落ちます。私のアイメイクのほとんどはウォータープルーフなので、以前はいつもオイルクレンジングに加えて拭き取りタイプのメイク落としを使わなければなりませんでした。でもファンケルのクレンジングを使えば、ランコムのBi FacilもイヴサンローランのDémaquillant Yeux'sを使う必要が無くなります。たったワンステップでメイクが落ちます。

FANCL's Mild Cleansing Oil has been ranked as the best oil-based, makeup-removing cleanser by @cosme for quite some time and after having the chance to try the remover myself, I have to say that it comes at no surprise. Simply apply one pump of the cleansing oil to your (dry) eye-lids, massage, rinse and watch your makeup melt away. As most of my eye-makeup is water proof, I have always had to rely on a wipe off remover in addition to an oil cleanser to wash my makeup away. But with FANCL's Cleasing Oil, my make-up removing routine no longer requires Lancôme's Bi Facil or YSL's Démaquillant Yeux's help. Just one step and I'm makeup-free.

マイルドクレンジングオイルは他のオイルクレンザーよりも薄く、脂っこさが残ったり毛穴に残ったりしません。肌に優しく、目をヒリヒリさせたり乾燥させたりしません。メイク落としはアルコールフリー・香料フリー、そして多くの刺激物が入っていません。お手頃な価格のメイク落としの中では、今までに使った中で一番良いと思います。目をぼんやりさせますが、DHCのクレンジングオイルやビオレのパーフェクトオイルよりもメイクを良く落としてくれるので、そこはちょっと我慢します。

Mild Cleansing Oil is thinner than most oil cleansers and does not leave a greasy residue or clog pores. It is gentle and does not sting nor leave the eyes dry. The remover is alcohol-free, fragrance-free and free of many other potentially-irritating ingredients. It is one of the best affordable makeup removers that I have ever used. However, it does cloud the eyes but since it does a much better job of removing makeup than DHC's Cleansing Oil and Bioré's Perfect Oil, I am willing to put up with a little temporary discomfort.

Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer and Pearl Luster Eye Shadows 3

Alima PureのAzure、Aubergine、Aegean Luminous Shimmerアイシャドウは一目見れば明らかな様に、とても大胆です。Azureは濃いブルーにグリーンのキラキラ、Aubergineは濃いパープルにパープルピンクのキラキラが入っています。Aegeanは明るい青緑にグリーンのキラキラが入っていてアクアのようです。全てのパウダーは乾いていても発色が良いです。

Alima Pure's Azure, Aubergine and Aegean Luminous Shimmer eyeshadows are quite bold, not that it needs pointing out. Azure is a deep blue with green shimmer while Aubergine is a deep purple with purple-pink shimmer. Aegean is a bright teal shade with green shimmer that looks almost aqua. All of the powders are quite pigmented even when dry.

Azureはサンプル写真ではグレーに見えますが、実際には青を含んでいて濡らすとより青いです。私は、光の反射が原因で青緑よりもグレーに見えたのではないかと思い、シャドウの写真をもう一度撮りました。

For some reason, Azure looks grey in the swatch photos but it does, in fact, retain its blue color even when wet. I think the light reflecting on the shimmer caused it to look more grey than teal, which is why I have taken an additional photo of the shadow.

I cannot decide which Alima eyeshadow I like best. All of them are really wonderful. Aegean is definitely eye-catching, both in the container and on the eye and Aubergine is quite exquisite, too. Smoke, Masquerade, Aloe

Each Alima Pure order also comes with 3 free samples chosen to coordinate with your purchase. They come in tiny ziploc bags, which is quite common for mineral makeup samples. The three samples I received were the Luminous Shimmer eyeshadow Smoke, Shimmer eyeliner Masquerade, and Satin Matte eyeshadow Aloe. I have never used a mineral eyeliner before and am excited to test Masquerade out.

Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer and Pearl Luster Eye Shadows 2

Alima Pureの緑色のシャドウMeadowとLondonは両方ともLuminous Shimmerアイシャドウで、AtlantisはPearl Lusterシャドウです。Meadowはライトグリーンにゴールドのキラキラが入っています。濡らすと、明るい光の下では緑というよりもゴールドに見えます。Atlantisは薄めのの色でゴールド-グリーンの輝きに他のPearl Lusterシャドウのようなメタリックフィニッシュっぽさがあります。Alimaのウェブサイトではエメラルドと描写されていますが、Londonは美しい濃いフォレストグリーンにグリーンのキラキラが入っています。濡らすと、写真で見るよりも緑色が強く見えます。

Alima Pure's green shade shadows Meadow and London are both Luminous Shimmer eyeshadows while Atlantis is a Pearl Luster eyeshadow. Meadow is a light green shadow with gold shimmer. When wet, it can look more gold than green in direct light. Atlantis is a paler shade that also contains gold-green shimmer with an almost metallic-finish that the other Pearl Luster shadows seem to have. Though described as emerald on the Alima website, London is a beautiful deep forest green with green shimmer. When wet, it is even more green in person than it appears in the photos.

All of the shades are quite stunning and look wonderful even when applied dry. Atlantis is definitely a more subtle shade than the other two and Meadow is much more bold when wet than it looks in the container. One full-size jar (.08 oz/2.5 g) of each eyeshadow is 9 dollars (USD) while samples cost only 1 dollar per shadow.

Alima Pureのアイシャドウもファンデーションやブラッシュパウダーと同様にハイクオリティです。アイシャドウには３つのタイプがあり、 Luminous Shimmer、Pearl Luster、Satin Matteです。Luminous Shimmerシャドウは綺麗な輝きのキラキラがたくさん入っています。Pearl Lusterはメタリックに近い感じで、Luminous Shadowsよりもキラキラは弱めです。私はSatin Matte Shadowsのサンプルを買いませんでしたが、先日買ったSatin Matteのブラッシュに似ているだろうと思います。

Much like their foundation and blush powders, Alima Pure's eyeshadows are high quality. There are three different types of eyeshadows: Luminous Shimmer, Pearl Luster, and Satin Matte. Luminous Shimmer shadows are packed with very fine shimmer for a pretty sparkle. The Pearl Luster shadows look almost metallic and contain fair less shimmer than the Luminous powders. I did not purchase a sample of the Satin Matte shadows but I imagine they are similar to the Satin Matte blushes I reviewed the other day.

Cedar, Eden, Zen

Cedarはオールドゴールドと深い緑を混ぜて緑色のキラキラを入れたような感じです。Edenはアンティークゴールドに銀色のキラキラ、そしてZenはメタリックグレーに微かなグリーンパールが入っています。もしもシアーで薄い色に目を仕上げたい場合にはアイシャドウのパウダーを乾いたブラシで付けます。より大胆な色合いで長持ちさせたい場合は濡れたブラシを使って付けます。濡らして付けるとシャドウは発色がとても良く、非常に長持ちします。

Cedar looks like a mix of old gold and deep green with green shimmer. Eden is an antique gold shade with green shimmer. And Zen is a metallic grey with a hint of green pearls. If you are going for a sheer or minimalist look on the eyes, apply the eyeshadow powders with a dry brush. For bold and long-lasting color, apply the shadows to the lid with a damp brush. The shadows appear highly pigmented when applied wet and should last for a very long time.

I am very impressed with the performance of the Luminous Shimmer and Pearl Luster eyeshadows and have become a complete Alima fan. If you do not care for mineral makeup foundations and blushes, I highly urge you to at least try Alima's eyeshadows. Alima Pure（アリマピュア）からベースメイクのサンプルを注文したのに加え、私はブラシとアイシャドウも注文しました。私が注文したブラッシュはTulip、Apple Blossom、Rosaです。Alimaには２種類のブラッシュがあります: Satin MatteとLuminous Shimmerです。Satin Matteはエアブラシのような感じで、Luminous Shimmerは顔に柔らかい輝きを与えてくれます。TulipとAppleはSatin Matteブラッシュ、RosaはLuminous ブラッシュです。ファンデーションと同様に、このブラッシュも柔らかくてきめ細かいです。

In addition to ordering base makeup samples from Alima Pure, I also ordered samples of their blushes and eye shadows. The blushes I ordered were Tulip, Apple Blossom, and Rosa. Alima carries two different types of blushes: Satin Matte and Luminous Shimmer. Satin Matte gives has an airbrushed quality to it while Luminous Shimmer adds a soft glow to the face. Tulip and Apple Blossom are Satin Matte blushes while Rosa is a Luminous Shimmer blush. Like the foundations, the blush powders are soft and finely milled.

これらは容器に入っていると似た様にしか見えませんが、TulipとApple Blossomにはちょっと違いがあります。Tulipはクールな薄いピンクで頬につけるとApple Blossomより僅かに明るいです。デリケートな陶器の人形のようなルックにしてくれます。Apple Blossomはもう少し濃いピンクで、自然な赤らみに見せてくれます。これはナチュラルルックやノーメイクルックを目指そうとしている方にはピッタリだと思います。残念ながら、両方とも非常に薄いので本当に明るい肌の人でないと色が見えにくいかもしれません。Rosaはより暗いブラッシュで、濃いラディッシュピンクに多くの美しいキラキラが入っています。キラキラは細かいので肌に付けてもあまり目立ちませんが、素敵で穏やかな輝きを与えてくれます。個人的にはRosaは少し暗過ぎますし、キラキラしていてより可愛いですがロザケアを思い起こさせます。多分、明るめかミディアムくらいの明るさの肌の方に最も適していて、とても白い方やミディアムから暗めの肌の方には適さないと思います。Alimaの良いところはブラッシュの色の種類が豊富だということで、どんな人でもその人に合ったものが見つかると思います。

Though they look very similar in their containers, there are some subtle differences between Tulip and Apple Blossom. Tulip is a cool pale pink and just a hint lighter than Apple Blossom on the cheeks. It can be used to complete a delicate, porcelain doll-look. Apple Blossom is a deeper pink that looks like a natural flush on the face. Apple Blossom would work well for those trying to achieve a natural or minimal/no-makeup look. Unfortunately, both blushes are so pale that they probably only appear on light complexions. Rosa is a darker blush. It has a deep reddish-pink color with a lot of beautiful shimmer. The shimmer appears much more subtle on the skin because it is so fine but it gives a nice, gentle glow to the face. Personally, Rosa is a little too dark for me and reminds me of my rosacea, though a more shimmery, prettier version of it. I think it would work best on light to medium complexions but not on a pale or medium to dark face. The nice thing about Alima is that they carry a large range of blush shades, so whatever your skin color or shade, you should be able to find a blush that works for you.

私はApple Blossomが好きですが、サンプルを使い終えたらTulipブラッシュのフルサイズを買おうと思っています。Satin MatteとLuminous Shimmerのフルサイズ(.16oz/5g)は15ドル(USD)です。ちなみにサンプルはたったの１ドルですので、まずはサンプルを購入してみることをオススメします。

I think I will be purchasing a full-size jar of Alima Pure's Tulip blush when I run out of the sample although I do like Apple Blossom. Alima Pure's award winning Satin Matte Foundation has a fairly wide range of shades for every skin tone. Cool is for easily sunburned skin with pink-tones. Neutral is for peachy skin tones that are neither particularly yellow nor pink, that may burn easily but then tan. Beige is for those who tan easily and have more yellow in their peach-colored skin. Warm is for peach to yellow undertones that tan easily. Golden is for rich, yellow, easily-tanned skin with a little pink or beige. Olive is for those who tan easily and have beige skin without any pink or yellow. The foundation shades run from 0 almost white to 9 ebony. (For those of you unsure of your skin tone and shade, I highly recommend reading Alima's Choose Your Foundation Color page.) I ordered a sample of 0 in Cool and 0 in Neutral, as well as their Color Balancing Powder in Pistachio, to diffuse the redness in my skin.

顔の赤みを隠すために使うコントロールカラーやバランサーは、使うと黄色や緑過ぎてしまうものが多いですが、Pistachioはとても自然に見えて、ファンデーション無しでも使うことが出来ます。顔の赤みは完全には無くなりませんでしたが、私のロザケアで赤くなって少し凸凹になってしまった肌を、より健康で滑らかなナチュラルブラッシュに見せてくれました。ひとつ残念な点は、毛穴に入って毛穴を少し大きく見せてしまうことです。

While most color correctors or balancers used to hide red skin go on too yellow or too green, Pistachio looks very natural and can even be worn alone if you do not want to wear foundation over it. Though it did not completely conceal the redness in my skin, it did diffuse it to a great extent and my bumpy, red rosacea cheeks looked more like a healthy, smooth, natural blush. The only downside to the corrector was that it sunk into my pores and made them more noticeable.

パウダーが容器に入っている状態ではチョークの粉のようで、重たそうな感じがしますが、実際は細かくて柔らかく、そしてとても軽いです。私はSatin Matte Foundationをつけた時に少しだけチクチクしましたが、使ったことのある他のミネラルメイクほど痒くなったりしませんでした。Neutralは少し暗く黄色過ぎたのですが、Cool 0は結構自分の肌の色に近かったので自然な感じに見えました。ファンデーションはエアブラシのような感じで、マット過ぎもなくシャイニー過ぎもしません。Alimaはフィニッシングパウダー(ハイライターなど)も出していますが、必要ないと思います。Satin Matte Foundationは柔らかいちょっとした輝きがあり、Stilaのピンクドールファイスシマーパウダーの少し控えめなバージョンみたいです。カバー力はシアーからミディアムライトですが、もっとカバー力が欲しければもっとパウダーを多く付ければ良いと思います。毛穴はPistachioを付けた時ほどは大きく見えませんでしたが、ミネラルファンデーションはやはり毛穴を少し目立たせてしまうものです。でもファンデーションを付ける前にメイクベースを使いませんでしたし、毛穴は凄く接近しないと気付かない程度です。数時間後にチェックしましたが、ほとんどファンデーションの状態に変化はありませんでした。ひとつイライラする点はパウダーが散らばってしまうことですが、ルースメイクパウダーとはそういう物ですね。

Although the powders may look a bit chalky or heavy in the jar, they are fine, soft, and incredibly light. I felt a slight tingling sensation when I first put on the Satin Matte Foundation but it did not itch like other mineral makeup foundations that I have tried in the past. Neutral was a slightly too dark and yellow for me but Cool 0 was a pretty close match to my skin tone and looked natural on my face. The foundation has an air brushed quality to it that is neither matte nor overly shiny. Although Alima offers finishing powders, I do not think they are necessary. The Satin Matte Foundation has a soft, subtle glow that resembles a toned-down version of Stila's Barbie Face Shimmer Powder in Pink Doll. The coverage is sheer to medium-light, although you can probably increase the coverage by applying more powder to your face. My pores did not look as large as they did when I only had the Pistachio color balancer on, but I think making pores appear larger is a characteristic of all mineral foundations. I did not use a primer or makeup base before apply the foundation however, and the pores were only noticeable from very up-close. When I checked how the foundation looked hours later, it was mostly unchanged. The one minor annoyance I have with the powders is that they can get very messy but that is to be expected for all loose-powder makeup.

I am very pleased with Alima Pure and plan to purchase a full size jar of their foundation and color corrector when I have used up their samples. Their powders are light, natural-looking and very affordable. If you have very pale skin and have never found a foundation light enough for you, you should definitely order a foundation sample from this company. The Face Shop Wash Off Yogurt Mask

ヨーグルトパック ウォッシュオフタイプはソウルのThe Face Shopで購入した商品です。このヨーグルトマスクは４枚セットで４つのフレーバー(ストロベリー、キウイ、グレープ、グレープフルーツ)が売られています。私はキウイとグレープのマスクを買いました。私は比較的The Face Shopのシートマスクはよく知っていますが、このブランドのウォッシュオフタイプのマスクを使うのは初めてでした。グレープのヨーグルトマスクにはグレープの成分が含まれていて、The Face Shopによると肌に潤いを与え、柔らかくしてくれるそうです。このマスクにはミネラルオイル、アルコール、香料も含まれていますので、敏感肌の方にはヒリヒリするかもしれません(原料の詳細リストはWalgreensのサイトを参照)。マスクは洗顔後のキレイな肌に使用し、５～１０分後にお湯で洗い流します。

The Wash Off Yogurt Mask Pack is another beauty product I bought at The Face Shop in Seoul. The yogurt masks are sold in packs of 4 masks and come in four different "flavors": Strawberry, Kiwi, Grape, and Grape Fruit. I purchased the Kiwi and Grape Masks. Although I am quite familiar with The Face Shop's sheet masks, this was my first time using a wash-off type mask from the brand. The grape yogurt mask contains grape extract which, according to The Face Shop, moisturizes and softens the skin. The mask also contains mineral oil, alcohol, and fragrance, all of which can irritate sensitive skin. (For a detailed list of the ingredients, visit Walgreens' site.) The yogurt mask should be applied to a clean face and washed off with warm water after 5-10 minutes.

ヨーグルトマスクは濃くてベト付くのではないかと思っていましたが、意外と薄めの質感で全くベト付きませんでした。それぞれのマスクが入った容器は小さいですが、顔全体と首を覆うのには充分過ぎる程のヨーグルトが入っていました。マスクは洗い流すのも簡単で、肌を瑞々しく柔らかく保ってくれました。肌を刺激する成分がいくつか入っているのにもかかわらず、マスクを外した後には少しのベタ付きとチクチクする程度の痛みだけが残り、およそ１時間後くらいにはその両方とも無くなりました。The Face Shopのヨーグルトマスクはシートマスクよりも乾燥肌や敏感肌の方に適していると思いますが、一方でオイリーな肌の方にはヨーグルトマスクよりもシートマスクの方が適していると思います。シートマスクは敏感肌の方には乾燥したりヒリヒリしたりするかもしれませんが、ヨーグルトマスクの質感と成分はThe Face Shopの他のマスクよりも肌を落ち着かせて水分を保ってくれると思います。でも、このウォッシュオフタイプのヨーグルトマスクは、秋や冬といった季節には最適だと思いますが、暖かい季節にはちょっと重た過ぎると思います。正確な価格は覚えていないのですが、4枚入りのセットで4000ウォン(300円)くらいだったと思います。

I was expecting the yogurt mask to be thick and sticky but it was surprisingly somewhat thin in texture and not sticky (on application) at all. Even though the individual mask cartons appear small, there was more than enough yogurt to cover my entire face and neck. The mask also washed off easily, leaving my skin quite hydrated and soft. Despite some of the irritating ingredients in its formula, I found that I only experienced a little bit of stickiness and a prickly sensation after removing the mask, both of which disappeared an hour or so later. I think The Face Shop's yogurt mask suits dry and sensitive skin types better than the sheet masks while the opposite probably holds true for those with oily skin. Sheet masks can be quite drying and irritating if you have sensitive skin and I think the texture and formula of the yogurt mask is much more soothing and moisturizing than The Face Shop's other masks. Given that it is a yogurt mask, however, the Wash Off Yogurt Mask Pack probably works best during the fall and winter and might be too heavy for some during the warmer seasons. I do not remember the exact price but one pack of 4 cost around 4000 won.

SkinFood Cappuccino Scrub Body Wash

スキンフードのカプチーノ スクラブボディウォッシュはあまり期待せずに買った物でしたが、実際に使ったところとても素晴らしい物でした。ボディソープの名前に“カプチーノ“とありますが、全くカプチーノっぽさはありません。コーヒー、ヘーゼルナッツ、バニラが混ざり合ったような香りがあり、スキンフードのウェブサイトによれば、天然のハチミツと砂糖の成分が入っているようです。スキンフードが何故カプチーノという名前を商品に付けたのかは分かりませんが、それ以外に特に不満な点はありません。ボディウォッシュは泡立ちがよく、コスタ・リカ産のコーヒー成分が入ったソープは角質除去ビーズの役割を果たし、肌を滑らかにしてくれます。このボディウォッシュを使った後、シャワーから出ると私の肌が明らかに滑らかになっていると感じました。また、他のボディウォッシュを使った時ほど肌が乾燥せず(LUSHのココ夏ホリデーを除いて)、香りも良いです。実のところ、カプチーノ スクラブボディウォッシュは肌の引き締めとアンチエイジングに効果がある商品ということですが、その点に関してはちょっと疑問があります。でも、普通のボディウォッシュとしては、このスクラブボディウォッシュは非常に良いと思います。

Skin Food's Cappuccino Scrub Body Wash was product I purchased with low expectations that actually turned out to be great. Although the body soap has "cappuccino" in its name, there is nothing cappuccino-like about it. It smells of a mixture of coffee, hazelnut and vanilla and according to Skin Food's website, contains natural honey and sugar ingredients. I am not sure why Skin Food chose to call the body soap a cappuccino wash but other than that, I have no complaints. The wash works up a nice foamy lather and the Costa Rican coffee grounds act as exfoliating beads that smooth out the skin. I felt very clean after using the scrub and my skin was noticeably smoother after I got out of the shower. My skin was also not as dry as it usually gets when using other body washes (with the exception of LUSH's Big Calm Shower Jelly) and smelled rather nice. Apparently, the Cappuccino Scrub Body Wash is supposed to work as a slimming and anti-aging product and I am a bit skeptical about those claims, but as a regular body wash, I think that Skin Food's body scrub works quite well.

Dr. Jart Whitening Water Drop

Dr Jart's Whitening Water Drop is a moisturizer that was recommended to me by the lovely reader Ns. Dr Jart is a high-end Korean cosmetics brand well known not only for their very unique moisturizer but also for their high quality B.B creams. The young company was formed by specialists in the field of dermatology and cosmetic surgery and all of the brand's products are free of fragrances and dyes, so that they are friendly to all skin types. Whitening Water Drop is a multi-action moisturizer that is supposed to whiten, moisturize and soothe the skin. It contains, arbutin, centella liposome, hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and kinetin. Although the product is fragrance-free, it smells a bit like verbena. When you massage Water Drop into your skin, the cream transforms into small droplets of water that immediately cool your face. The water drops are supposed to form a thin film on your skin to lock in moisture and keep your face hydrated all day. For those who use B.B creams, Water Drop can be used as a base to your B.B cream.

美白効果については語ることは出来ませんが、ウォータードロップは私の肌の紅潮を抑えてくれます。ミネラルウォータースプレーは一時的に顔の紅潮を抑えてくれますが、Dr. Jartのウォータードロップは冷却効果がとても長く残ります。ウォータードロップは暑い日やシャワーの後などの肌を落ち着かせて赤みを抑えてくれます。私はロザケアと酷い乾燥肌をもっているので、その他に保湿液（ファンケルのミルキーローション）を使っていますが、ウォータードロップを使うことによってそのミルキーローションの効果が更に良くなったと思います。ウォータードロップを先につけた後にミルキーローションをつけても、そのローションの保湿効果を閉じ込めて、私の顔を長時間にわたって冷やしてくれました。これはちょっとした暑さでも赤くなってしまうロザケアに悩む方々には非常に重要です。現在、私の頬はこの非常に蒸し暑い東京の気候においても、以前ほどは赤くなっていません。

I cannot speak to the whitening effects of the cream but I can say that Water Drop has greatly helped my flushing. Although mineral water sprays do a nice job of providing some temporary relief for flushing, the cooling effect of Dr Jart's moisturizing solution lasts much longer. The water drops soothe my skin and lessen the redness I experience after a shower or warm day. Because I have rosacea and such dry skin, I still use a separate moisturizer (FANCL's Milky Lotion) over the cream but I find that Water Drop has improved the effectiveness of Milky Lotion. It actually locks in the moisture from the lotion, even though I apply it if before I put on Milky Lotion, and keeps my face cool for hours. This is extremely important for rosaceans as even a little bit of heat can do a number on our faces. Now, my cheeks are not as red as they usually get despite the very humid weather we have been experiencing here in Tokyo

Dr Jart products are sold in department stores and beauty boutiques across South Korea and the brand even has an online store for US customers. I purchased Whitening Water Drop at the main Lotte Department store. The duty-free section of the store is actually selling packs of 3, 5 and (I think) 7 tubes of the moisturizer at a discounted price. I really wish I had opted for one of the sets instead of buying just one tube but I'll remember to get more the next time I'm in Korea.

よーじや Aloe あぶらとり紙 (Oil-blotting paper)

日本の伝統コスメ会社よーじやの東京都内にある販売店とカフェの一つは、羽田空港の第１ターミナルにあります。そこでは天然のアロエを原材料に使用したアロエあぶらとり紙（以前は国外販売のみでした）を購入することが出来ます。よーじやの全てのあぶらとり紙と同じように、アロエも肌を刺激したり乾燥させたりすることなく、あぶらを取ってくれます。それでも、限定販売されたアロエよりも少しスムーズな柚子のあぶらとり紙の方が好きですが、アロエのあぶらとり紙は柚子の代わりとして、またちょっとしたお土産にも良いです。

Traditional Japanese cosmetics company Yojiya's one boutique and café in the Tokyo-area is located in Terminal 1 of the Haneda Airport. There, you can purchase their (previously overseas-only) Aloe oil-blotting paper made of natural aloe ingredients. Like all of Yojiya's blotting papers, the Aloe paper does an excellent job of absorbing oil without irritating or drying out your skin. Although, I still prefer their limited edition Yuzu paper, which is a hint smoother, the Aloe blotting paper is a nice substitute and makes a great little gift.

Unlike other Yojiya blotting papers, the blotting sheets sold at Haneda airport contain a short explanation of the origin of the aburatorigami in English. This is a wonderful idea as many people who purchase Yojiya's products at the airport plan to give them to their overseas friends as Japanese souvenirs. However, there are some problems with English text. Instead of eliminating germs, the aloe extract in their blotting paper apparently eliminates "gems." They keep referring to the "maiko women" of Japan without any explanation as to who these "maiko" women are. While most have heard of the geisha, few outside Japan are aware of the maiko. Something as simple as "maiko, geisha apprentices," or "geisha-in-training" would be helpful. There is a growing fascination with the geisha in the West and if more women found out that the geisha use/used Yojiya's products, I think the company's popularity would increase overseas.

For the most part, however, Yojiya's English is understandable and their oil-blotting products are excellent. If you ever happen to find yourself in Kyoto or Haneda/Narita/Kansai airport, you should most definitely check their stores out. They also have an online store, although I am not sure if they are still shipping overseas at the moment.

FANCL Highlight Color in 01 White Mix

ファンケルのピンクブロンズチークカラーは非常に薄いですが、ブランドの「ハイライトカラー」（ハイライター）の01ホワイトミックスはもっと発色があります。とても柔らかなパウダーは肌に付けるとすぐに完全に浸透し、パールのような透明感のある美肌にさせます。ホワイトミックスも結構綺麗なキラキラが入っていまして、チークカラーよりも入っていると思います。肌にもっとツヤを与えるため、ハイライトカラーをTゾーン、または目の下に付けます。

Although FANCL's blush in Pink Bronze is a very sheer powder, the cosmetics company's "highlight color" in 01 White Mix is somewhat more pigmented. Once applied, the incredibly soft powder completely melts into your skin, leaving you with a pearly white glow. White Mix also contains a fair amount of shimmer, perhaps more than the cheek colors. The highlighter should be applied to the T-zone and/or under the eyes to brighten your look.


ホワイトミックスは上手に私のロゼケアを隠し、自然に見せてくれました。でも、ハイライトカラーはファンケルのチークカラーと同じケースに入っていて、NARSのモノアイシャドーよりも少し小さいです。もう一つの残念な点は、終日付けているとホワイトミックスは毛穴に入り込んで毛穴を大きく見せるうえに、脂ぎったような輝きがあります。ファンケルのルーセントフェイスパウダーの花むらさきにはそんな問題はありませんでしたが、ルーセントパウダーは紫色のルースパウダーで、ホワイトミックスはもっと滑らかなクリーミーっぽいテクスチャーがあります。ですが、ハイライトカラーのホワイトミックスは悪くないパール感があるフェイスパウダーで、低刺激でたったの950円です。

White Mix did a really great job masking my rosacea without looking unnatural. However, the highlight color comes in the same size case as the FANCL blush which is even smaller than a mono eyeshadow from NARS. Another downside to White Mix is that, by the end of the day, the highlighter sinks into my pores, making them look even larger than they actually are, and develops an almost greasy shine. I did not face the same problems with FANCL's Lucent Face Powder in Hanamurasaki but the Lucent Powder is a loose powder with a lavender hue and the White Mix highlighter has a smoother and creamier texture. Nevertheless, the Highlight Color in White Mix is still a decent pearly face powder that is non-irritating and only 950 yen.

５月後に期限が切れるファンケルのオンラインストア専用のクーポンを持っていたので、サイトからファンケルのチークカラーのピンクブロンズとハイライターのホワイトミックスを注文しました。日本のファンケルサイトではピンクブロンズはピンクローズのチークカラーより全然明るく見えますが、メールオーダー・カタログではピンクローズの方がやや明るいです。その上、英語のファンケルサイトではチークカラーの色全部が他と全く違います。まだ実際に他の色を見ることが出来ていませんが、ピンクブロンズは日本のサイトにある画像に一番近いと言えます。

I had a coupon for FANCL's online store that was going to expire by the end of last month so I decided to use it and order the FANCL "cheek color" (blush) in Pink Bronze and the highlighter in White Mix. On the Japanese FANCL website, the Pink Bronze blush looks significantly lighter than the blush in Rose Pink, which is why I went with that face color, but in the mail order catalog, the Rose Pink shade seems a little lighter. All of the face/cheek colors look very different on the English FANCL site, too. I have not had the opportunity to see the other blushes in person but I can say that the Pink Bronze shade most closely resembles what you see on the Japanese website.

チークカラーはとても小さなプラスチックケースに入っていて、開けるのが少し面倒でした。やっと開けたと思ったら爪がパウダーに入ってしまって、めちゃくちゃになりまし た。チークカラーがとても小さいため、上手くブラシに付けにくかったです。パウダー自体はとても柔らかくて細かく、非常にシアで少し綺麗なキラキラが 入っていました。すぐに肌と馴染んで自然にほんのり日焼けしたように見えました。ファンケルのハイライターと一緒に使ってみたら、なんとかロゼケアが皮膚病というよりただの自然な赤さに見えました。ファンケルの チークカラーの品質は結構良くて低刺激ですが、ピンクブロンズがあまりにも薄いのでOC01より黒い肌では色が見えないと思 います。でも、このチークパウダーはとてもお手頃な値段で、たったの950円です。ローズピンク色にとても興味がありますので、もしかしたら今月にそのカ ラーを手に入れてレビューをするかもしれません。ファンケルもスキニーピーチというピーチ・黄色のチークカラーを出しています。

The cheek color comes in a very small plastic case and I had some trouble getting it open. When I finally did, I accidentally sank my fingernails into the powder and got it all over the place. Because the blush was so small, I also had a hard time getting the cheek color powder on my brush. The powder itself was incredibly soft and fine, and very sheer with a pretty but subtle shimmer. It instantly blended into my skin and gave it a sun-kissed look. I used it with the highlighter (which I will review next) and the two somehow made it look as though my rosacea was just a natural flush. The quality of FANCL's blush is quite good and non-irritating but the cheek color is so incredibly sheer that I doubt it will show up on anyone beyond an OC01. However, the great thing about FANCL's cheek powder is that it is completely affordable at 950 yen. I am very interested in the Rose Pink shade now so perhaps I will get my hands on it and review it sometime later this month. FANCL also offers the cheek color in Skinny Peach which is a more peach-yellow based shade.

LUSH ココ夏ホリデー (Big Calm) Shower Jelly

日本で売っているボディーウォッシュは、日本に向けている外国ブランドも含めて、大体脂っぽい肌の方をターゲットしています。例えば、アメリカでダヴのボディーウォッシュは濃厚でクリーミーですが、同じウォッシュは日本では水っぽくて薄く、アメリカンバージョンほど滑らかではありません。ジョンソン＆ジョンソンのエキストラケアドライスキンボディーウォッシュという、他の日本にあるウォッシュより潤いを与えるものを使っていますが、まだシャワーから出ると肌が乾燥しています。先週、あるLUSH店に入って買い物をして、シャワージェリーのココ夏ホリデーを買いました。ココ夏ホリデーはココナッツとパイナップルのエキスが入っていて、とてもチャイナブルーのカクテルみたいなトロピカルな香りがします。ジェリーを小さじ１杯分使うだけで結構泡立ちも良く、キレイに洗うだけでなく肌にもとてもやさしく感じます。シャワーから出て乾いたら肌がとても滑らかに潤って、他のローションが必要ないくらい良かったです。左手のアトピーも非常に良くなりました。良い匂いもしました。LUSHのシャワージェリーは多分、今まで使ったボディーウォッシュの中で一番効果が良かったので、真剣にこれからシャワージェリーを使おうと考えています。ジェリーもビーガンでどんな肌にも良いです。唯一の短所はジェリーの形なので、ボトル・ポンプ用のウォッシュより使いにくくてちょっと高いところです。税込９８０円です。

Body wash sold in Japan, including foreign brands tailored to the Japanese market, are made for more oily-prone (not dry) skin. For example, Dove's body wash in the US is thick and creamy while the same wash sold in Japan is very thin and not nearly as moisturizing. Though I've been using Johnson and Johnson's Extra Care Dry Skin Body Wash, which is more moisturizing than most other body washes in Japan, my skin still feels dry after getting out of the shower. Last week, I stepped into LUSH and in addition to purchasing a couple of other products, I got their shower jelly in Coconatsu Holiday (AKA: Big Calm Shower Jelly). Coconatsu Holiday contains coconut and pineapple extract and has a very tropical scent that smells like the cocktail China Blue. You need no more than a teaspoon of the jelly to get a nice foamy lather and the jelly not only cleans well but feels incredibly gentle. Once I dried off, my skin was amazingly smooth and hydrated and did not even need moisturizing. The eczema on my right hand had significantly improved and I smelled quite good, too. I think LUSH's shower jelly has yielded the best results out of all of the body washes that I have ever used and I am seriously considering switching to their jellies in the future. Their shower jellies are also vegan and great for all skin types. The only downside to the wash is that it is a jelly which not as easy to use as something in a pump or bottle and it's a bit pricey. 980 yen including tax.

dProgram Mask QQ

資生堂のdプログラムに乾燥した敏感肌用のシートマスクがあります。マスクQQはパラベンフリー、香料や着色料がまったく入っていないもので、うるおいを与え、やわらかで瑞々しい肌にさせます。クリーン製法したものを新鮮に使うため、ハイドロエッセンスがチューブに入っていて、シートと別々になっています。１つのマスクQQセットには４回分が入っています。

Shiseido dProgram's carries a facial sheet mask for dry, sensitive skin. Mask QQ is free of parabens, fragrance, and dyes. It hydrates, moisturizes, and smooths the skin. To keep the mask's contents as clean and fresh as possible, Mask QQ's hydro-essence is kept in a tube, separate from the sheet mask. One Mask QQ box contains four masks.


使用法はとても簡単です。最初はシートマスクが入っている袋を開けて、ウィップコットンマスクを入れたまま、チューブに入ったハイドロエッセンスの美容液をいれます。次に美容液をマスクに十分含ませるために袋を軽くもみます。マスクに十分含ませたら、袋から取り出して顔につけてください。最後に３分たったらマスクをはがして残ったエッセンスを肌になじませます。

The instructions are very simple. First, open the package containing the sheet mask and pour the contents of the hydro-essence tube into the package while the cotton whip mask is still inside. Press the package, moving the essence around to ensure that it is evenly distributed on the mask. Next, take out and unfold the mask and put it on. After three minutes, remove the mask and massage any remaining essence into your skin.


ホィップコットンシートマスクは結構柔らかくて大きいです。アニメのような形している目穴は今までに使ったシートマスクの中で一番大きく、眉毛までも穴に入ってしまいます。目と鼻の穴があまりにも大きいので、マスクに触れなかった顔の部分が多かったです。でも、マスクは運動で火照っていた肌を落ち着かせてくれました。そしてハイドロエッセンスも肌に潤いを与え、少し滑らかでスムーズにさせ、他のシートマスクと違ってあんまりベタベタしませんでした。肌は少し露のように潤って赤みも結構なくなり、エッセンスの成分もヒリヒリしなかったです。でもマスクQQは普段のスキンケアとして使うよりも、乾燥した肌（特に冬に）のトリートメントとして使った方が良いと思います。４回分の１箱は税込み2,100円なので１枚は525円です。また買うかどうか分からないですが、敏感肌でなかなか使えそうなシートマスクが見付からない方は試してみるといいかもしれません。今は気温が上がっているのでエッセンスを使う前に冷蔵すればマスクも顔をもっと冷えるかもしれませんが、ハイドロエッセンスを冷蔵した時に中の成分がどうなるか分かりません。

The whip cotton sheet mask is quite soft but very large. The anime-like eye holes are the biggest that I have ever seen and you can fit your whole eyebrow and more through the hole. Because the eye and nose holes were especially large, there were several parts on my face that did not touch the mask which was kind of disappointing. But the mask did calm my face which was flushed after exercising. The hydro-essence also moisturized and hydrated my skin without being too sticky unlike most other facial masks. My skin was left somewhat dewy and much less red, and none of the ingredients in the mask irritated my skin. However, I do think Mask QQ should be used as a treatment for dry skin (especially in the winter) rather than as a regular skincare item. One box of four masks costs 2,000 yen without tax which is 500 yen per mask. I don't know if I would purchase this again but those who are having trouble finding a rosacea or sensitive skin-friendly mask may want to consider dProgram's Mask QQ. Now that the weather is warm, it might be a good idea to refrigerate the essence first so that the mask will be especially cool on the face, but refrigerating the hydro-essence might reduce the effectiveness of the ingredients in the mask.

美肌一族 (Bihada Ichizoku) Chocolate Sheet Mask

４月１５日に発売され、美肌一族の限定品チョコレートシートマスクはラブラボと天才パティシエ辻口博啓のコラボです。マスクは乾燥肌、シワ、毛穴や色々な「活性酸素」が原因で引き起こされる問題のために作られた物です。その活性酸素の効果を取り除くカカオポリフェノールはマスクの主成分です。カカオエキス以外に加水分解コラーゲンとヒアルロン酸Naとイチゴ果汁が入っています。

Released on April 15th, Bihada Ichizoku's limited edition Chocolate Sheet Mask is a collaboration between Love Labo and the renown pâtissier, Hironobu Tsuchiguchi. The mask was developed to address dryness, wrinkles, clogged pores, and other skin problems caused by "reactive oxygen." The main ingredient in the mask, cacao polyphenol, supposedly removes the negative effects of reactive oxygen. In addition to cacao extract, the mask also contains hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, and strawberry juice.


チョコレートシートマスクは多分一番美味しい匂いがするマスクです。チョコのペイストリーみたいな匂いがしますし、何だか日本のクレープ屋さんのイチゴチョコクレープを思いだします。成分のせいだと思いますが、マスクを取り外すのがちょっと難しいです。でもチョコレートマスクの良いところはマスクを付けると他の美肌一族シートマスクよりも軽く、ベタベタしません。でも、パックを取ってエキスを乾燥させると、少し薄い層のチョコを感じて、エキスもベタベタします。後で出掛けるつもりだったら、このマスクをしない方がいいです。普通の美肌一族マスクは肌を乾燥させたりチクチク刺激したりしますが、このチョコレートシートマスクのチョコはほっぺたの赤みを抑えて、かゆみも生じさせませんでした上で肌をスムーズにさせました。美肌一族のマスクの中ではこのチョコマスクが一番好きで、ラブラボにはこれをレギュラー商品にすることを再考して欲しいと思います。

The Chocolate Sheet Mask is probably the most delicious selling mask that you will ever try. It smells like a chocolate pastry and reminds me of those chocolate-strawberry crêpes sold in little crêpe shops and stands across Japan. Most likely due to the ingredients, it is a little bit difficult to unfold. But what I like about the chocolate mask is that, when you put it on, it is surprisingly light and less sticky than some of Bihada Ichizoku's other masks. Though when you remove the mask and allow the extract to dry, you do feel like a very very thin layer of chocolate is covering your face. The extract also dries a bit sticky. You should definitely not use this mask right before you step outside. The regular Bihada Ichizoku masks can sometimes leave my skin dry and irritated but I think the chocolate in the Chocolate Sheet Mask prevented my cheeks from getting itchy and red and left my skin smooth. Out of all of the Bihada Ichizoku masks, I would say that this is my favourite and I wish Love Labo would consider making it a regular product.

チャツバキ(Chatsubaki) Kaori Face Pack

チャツバキのかおりフェイスパックは敏感肌にやさしい、緑茶のパウダーフェイスマスクで、パラベン、保存料、アルコール、香料、着色は一切入っていません。前も言いましたが、緑茶には色々な効果があり、肌を明るくして吹き出物を無くします。緑茶は静岡県の砂川のオーガニック茶園で育てられ、農薬や化学肥料は使われていません。マスクの成分はデキストリン、チャ葉、コーンスターチ、ハチミツ、ヒアルロン酸Naとユビキノン（コエンザイムQ10）だけです。パックは２回分と１２回のセットが売っています。直接チャツバキのサイトから注文出来ますし、私みたいに銀座ハンズなどからも買えます。

Chatsubaki's Kaori Face Pack is a sensitive skin friendly face mask made of a green tea powder mix free of parabens, preservatives, alcohol, artificial dyes and fragrance. As I have said before, green tea has many beneficial proprieties and has been known to brighten and clear skin of impurities. The green tea is cultivated at an organic tea farm in Sunagawa, Shizuoka prefecture where pesticides are not used. The mask ingredients consist of dextrin, tea leaves, corn starch, honey, hyaluronic acid and Coenzyme Q10. The masks are sold in packs of two and twelve. You can order directly from Chatsubaki's website or do what I did and purchase the masks at Ginza Hands.


２回分のマスクセットに棗(茶器)の様な専用容器がついていて、計量スプーンもあります。緑茶のパウダーを専用容器に入れ、スプーン２杯分の水を加えてて均一になるまで混ぜます。その混ぜ合わせた物を手で顔に付けるのですが、少し面倒くさいことになります。でも顔に付けるとちゃんとくっつくので、顔から垂れる心配がないです。２〜３分経ったら水でパックを流します。パックを顔に付けたらすぐに顔の周りが引き締まるような感じがしました。マスクを洗い流したら肌に少し天然の緑色が残りましたが、それは普通のことらしいです。顔は前に比べてかなり綺麗になり、赤みも少し無くなって肌がもっと明るくなったと思います。ちゃんと洗い流さなかったところがちょっと痒くなりましたが、２回目の時にはちゃんと顔を洗ったので、その痒みは全く経験しなかったです。かおりフェイスパックはいつものパックと違って面白かったので、普通のスキンケア手段に入れたいと思います。普通の抹茶を顔に付けたら同じ効果があるかどうか分かりませんが、今はチャツバキを使うと思います。２回分のパックは650円で容器とスプーンが付いています。１２包にもスプーンが付いていますが容器は別売りです。

The mask set of two comes with a mixing container resembling a natsume (green tea caddy) and a measuring spoon. Simply pour the powder into the container, add two spoonfuls of water to the mix and stir until the you have a thick and even consistency. You then apply the goopy mix, which can get a little messy, to the face with your fingers. Thankfully, despite its liquid texture, the mix stays on the skin once applied so there is no need to worry that it will drip onto your clothes. After two or three minutes the mask should removed with water. When I applied the formula to my face, I could feel it immediately tighten my skin. After I washed it off, my skin (temporarily) had a slight green tinge which is completely normal according to Chatsubaki. However, my face was noticeably brighter and less red and my complexion seemed clearer. My skin was a little itchy in places where I had not properly washed off the mask but I took better care the second time and did not experience any irritation. All and all, I enjoyed using the Kaori Face Pack and would like to include it in my regular skincare routine. I am kind of curious as to whether regular macha powder would produce the same results but I will stick to Chatsubaki for now. A set of two masks costs 650 yen and comes with a mixing bowl and measuring spoon. A pack of 12 masks costs 2100 yen includes a measuring spoon but the containter is sold
separately.
