Ferzea HA Cream

Shiseido's Ferzea HA Cream is a medicinal cream for dry, irritated skin and keratosis on the fingers and heel. It has a mix of urea (20%), vitamin E, dipotassium glycyrrhizinate and sodium hyaluronate. Like most ferzea products, it contains no artificial dyes or fragrance.

資生堂のフェルゼアHAクリームは手指のあれ、ひじ、ひざ、かかとの角化症のための薬用クリームです。尿素（20%）、ビタミンE、グリチルリチン酸二カリウムとヒアルロン酸ナトリウムが配合されています。他のフェルゼア商品みたいに無香料＆無着色です。

The cream is light, dries quickly and acts right away. It left my fingers smooth and wasn't nearly as greasy or sticky as Ferzea's Hand Veil. However, I noticed that the fingers on my left hand occasionally stung or itched after using the cream and I wonder if it was a reaction to the urea. The cream also didn't last as long or protect my skin from water as well as Hand Veil did, although each cream serves a different purpose. HA cream is for spot-treatment while Hand Veil is for general use on the hands and body. If you suffer from keratosis, HA might be the short term solution for you while Hand Veil would better serve those with eczema. The retail price for Ferzea's HA is 1680yen without tax.

クリームはさっぱりしていて、すぐに乾いて効きます。指はサラサラになり、フェルゼアのハンドベールほどべたつきませんでした。でも、クリーム使った後時々左手の指がヒリヒリしたり、痒くなりしたので、もしかしたら尿素のせいかもしれません。HAクリームもハンドベイルほど長持ちしなかったですし、水から守ってくれなかったです。でもクリ—ムはそれぞれの用途に合わせて使うものです。HAはスポットトリートメントのものでハンドベールはもっと手や身体の具体的に使う物です。角化症の問題がありましたら、HAは短い期間にいいかもしれません。また、ハンドベールはアトピーの人に効果的です。フェルゼアのHAクリームは税抜きで1680円です。

Ferzea Bath Milk

Shiseido's Ferzea HA20 Cream currently comes with a sample of Ferzea's Skincare Veil Medicinal Bath Milk Additive. The bath milk comes in two scents: Floral Bouquet and Sweet Green. My sample came in floral bouquet. The additive contains moisturizing additives such as jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid, sea collagen, and urea.

今、資生堂のフェルゼアHA20クリームにはフェルゼアの薬用入浴液スキンケアベールのサンプルが付いています。入浴液の香りが二つあります：フローラルブーケ、スイートグリーンです。私のサンプルはフローラルブーケでした。入浴液にはモイスチャーの成分、例えばホホバ油、ヒアルロン酸、海洋性コラーゲンと尿素が入っています。

The bath additive was incredibly silk and rich compared to all others I have tried, although this is the first medicinal bath milk I've ever used before. It was also very gentle and relaxing, and left my skin smooth and hydrated. I didn't even bother to put body lotion on afterwards. It is by far the best bath milk out there, I think, but it has one major flaw. The fragrance was incredibly power and still lingered hours after the bath had been drained and cleaned. Although it was supposed to be floral, the scent had somewhat of a chemical smell. Because it gave me a bit of a headache, I think I will stick with Bathtology's bath milk.

薬用の入浴液は初めてですが、フェルゼアの入浴液は今まで使った入浴液と比べるととてもリッチでなめらかでした。身体に優しくリラックスさせて、肌もスベスベでうるおいを与えました。お風呂から出た後にボディーローションも付けなかったです。入浴液の中では一番いい物だと思いますが大きな問題があります。香りがとても強いのでお風呂の水を流して、お掃除した何時間後でも香りが残っていました。フローラルのはずですが、少し薬っぽい香りがしていました。頭が痛くなったので、Bathtologyの入浴液を愛用すると思います。

Shiseido Ferzea Lip Cream

I've noticed that quite a few people come across this blog searching for reviews of Shiseido's Ferzea skincare line. I reviewed Ferzea's Repair Veil Hand Cream in November and I will continue to publish reviews of Ferzea products this and next week. I've also decided to create a ferzea tag so that readers will have an easier time finding the reviews.

Shiseido's Ferzea is a body skincare line that targets seriously dry, irritated skin. Their creams range from lip and hand creams to creams for the back and knees. If you are unsure of what to buy, you can consult the chart on their website. The ingredients for each product is also listed there. All of the products (with the exception of the bath milk) are fragrance-free and safe for those with eczema and other skin conditions. Because these are medicinal products, they can only be purchased at drug stores.

資生堂のフェルゼアはかなり乾燥した、炎症を起こした皮膚のためのボディースキンケアラインです。リップとハンドクリームから背中や膝に使うクリームまであります。どっちのクリームを利用すればいいか分からない場合は、ホームページのチャートで確認出来ます。１つ１つの商品の原料も載っています。薬用入浴液以外、全ての商品は無添加なので、アトピーや他の皮膚病の方にも優しいです。薬品なので薬局でしか手に入れません。

Ferzea Lip is a lip cream similar to Vaseline (petroleum jelly) but faster-drying and less sticky. It is also less glossy than Vaseline but it still leaves a little shine. It is paraben-free and contains a mixture of urea and squalene to moisturize, and polyquaternium-51, a water-soluble polymer that helps prevent drying. For me, Ferzea lip did a much better job of healing the cracks on my lips than most other chap sticks and lip creams, including Nivea, Watering Lip, Vaseline, Burt's Bees and Carmex. My lips are usually chapped and even bleeds in the winter, so it takes a very good lip cream to moisturize and heal them. I only paid 300-400 yen per tube, which is very reasonable. If you haven't found a lipcream that works for you, you may want to consider Ferzea lip.

フェルゼアリップクリームはワセリン（ペトロラタム）に似ていますが、もっと早く乾きますし、ベタベタしません。ワセリンほどグロッシー（グロスぽい）ではないですが、少し光沢があります。パラベンフリーでうるおい与えるために尿素とスクワランが配合されていて、乾燥を防止する水溶性ポリマーのポリクオタニウム-51も入っています。フェルゼアリップは他のものより（Nivea、 Watering Lip、 Vaseline、 Burt's Bees、Carmexなど）自分のカサカサした唇をよく治しました。唇がいつも乾燥して、冬には血まで出るので、うるおいを与えて、リペアするためにはよほどいい物ではないとだめです。１個３００〜４００円しか払わなかったので、とてもりーズナブルな値段で売っています。まだ自分にいいリップクリームが見付かってない方は、フェルゼアリップを使ってみるといいかもしれません。

Ferzea Hand Cream

Two samples of Shiseido's new hand cream, Ferzea Repair Veil, arrived in the mail a few days ago. Ferzea, which can also be applied to the face and body, was made specifically for those suffering from hypersensitive, dry skin, for people who often wash their hands or work with water, and for those who want to spend the least amount of time caring for their hands. Repair Veil is fragrance-free, contains no dyes, parabens, steroids, or carbamide peroxide (urea). Its effects are supposed to last for a full 24 hours, even after repeated hand-washing.

数日前に資生堂から新しいハンドクリーム、フェルゼアリペアベール、のサンプルが届きました。フェルゼアは顔にも体にも使えますし、敏感肌と乾燥肌の方の為に作られた物で、良く手を洗う方や水仕事が多い方、忙しくてあんまりハンドケアできない方に勧められています。リペアベールは無香料、無着色、パラベン無添加、尿素、ステロイド無配合です。２４時間もヴェールが手を守るらしいです。

Although my left hand is perfectly fine, my right hand suffers from eczema. Since my right hand is allergic to most soaps and creams and even water can make the skin crack and bleed, I only use L'Occitane's Shea Butter Dry Skin Hand Cream (Creme Mains Peaux Seches) and a hydrocortisone 1% cream from my doctor's office on the back of my hands. Unfortunately, the L'Occitane cream is a bit greasy and takes a while to be fully absorbed into the skin and the hydrocortisone, while soothing and somewhat healing, doesn't work very well when it comes to protection and prevention.

左手はまったく問題ないですが、右手にはアトピー性皮膚炎があります。なので、ほとんどの石鹸やハンドクルームを使うとアレルギーが出ますし、そのうえ水だけでも皮膚から血が出ますので、ロクシタンのシアハンドクリームと病院からのヒドロコルチゾン1%クリームだけ手に使えます。残念ながらロクシタンのクリームはちょっとベタベタしていて、手になじむまでかなり時間がかかります。それでヒドロコルチゾンはいくらか治癒効果がありますが、手を保護する効果は弱いようです。


Shiseido recommends applying the hand cream right before bedtime and again in the morning. I first applied the cream to both of my hands and my legs right before I went to sleep (and then later in the morning the next day). My right hand did not sting at all which is what usually happens when I apply a new hand cream. However, the cream was quite greasy and a little sticky. It took at least 15-20 minutes for cream to really begin to absorb into the skin and yet, it was still greasy.

資生堂は寝る前と朝にクリームを付けることを勧めています。私は寝る前に両手と足に付けました（その次の日の朝にも付けました）。いつも新しいハンドクリームを右手に付けるとヒリヒリして痛みますが、まったくヒリヒリしなかったです。でも手がかなりオイリーになり、ベタベタしました。手になじむまでに１５−２０分かかり、それでも少しベタベタしました。

In the morning, however, both of my hands were incredibly smooth. The cracks and tiny cuts on my right hand were healed. What was even more surprising was that washing my hands seemed to have no affect on the performance of the cream. My hands still remained smooth and never dry. Ferzea really did create a veil on my hands that seemed to have protected my skin. I have never encountered a cream that could do such a thing.

でも朝になると両手がとてもつるつるになっていました。そして、右手の小さいすり傷や皮膚が割れたところが治りました。もっとびっくりしたのは、いくら手を洗ってもまったくクリームの効果が無くならなかったことです。手はまだつるつるしていて、全く乾燥してなかったです。フェルゼアは本当に手をプロテクトをするヴェールを作りました。そんなハンドクリームは使ったことが無かったです。


Even though I really don't care for the greasiness of the product, I do think I will be using Ferzea as a night hand cream. While there are creams out there that help soothe and heal dry, highly allergic skin, few work after repeated contact with soap and water. I don't think I would use it if I didn't have eczema on my right hand but I highly recommend the cream to anyone suffering from eczema or very dry skin. Unfortunately, the Repair Veil is a bit expensive but it is not your typical hand cream. (1,800 yen for 40g)

始めはベタベタするところはあまり気に入れませんが、フェルゼアを夜のハンドクリームとして使うと思います。乾燥肌やアトピー肌を治したりするクリームは色々ありますが、何回水や石鹸を使った後にまだ効果が続くクリームはなかなか無いと思います。多分、右手にアトピーが無かったら使わないと思いますが、アトピーや乾燥肌の酷い方にオススメします。残念ながら、リペアベールの値段は高いですが、普通のハンドクリームとは違います。(40gで1,800円)
