Sonia Rykiel Sublime Lipstick

先月の１日、ソニアリキルは新しいリップスティックのシリーズ、サブライム リップスティックとして全２５色を発売しました。リップスティックは瑞々しく、いくらかツヤツヤしていて発色がよく、雫のような輝きがあります。私は13、14、02のサンプルを貰いました。13はオレンジがかったレッドクレイ色で、マジーデコのBE331に似ています。14はもう少し赤いですがより暗めで、金のラメが入っています。02はこのリップスティックのキャンペーンで使われていて、唇に付けるとチェリーレッドのような感じ(マラスキノ チェリーレッド)で、赤いラメが入っています。14と02の両方に入っているラメは上質で、ほとんど気付かないくらい薄いです。個人的には13と14はあまり好きではありませんが、02はとても好きなので後で購入するかもしれません。残念ながらリップカラーは簡単に落ちてしまいますし、変な薬品のようなニオイがしてちょっと不快にさせます。

On the first of last month, Sonia Rykiel released 25 different shades in their new lipstick line, Sublime Lipstick. The lipsticks are moisturizing, somewhat waxy, well-pigmented and have a beautiful dewy sheen. I received samples of the new lip product in 13, 14 and 02. 13 is an orange-y, red-clay shade similar to Magie Deco's BE331 . 14 is little darker and slightly more red with gold shimmer. 02 is the lip color used in the lipstick campaign that looks cherry-red (Maraschino cherry-red) on the lips and contains red shimmer. The shimmer in both 14 and 02 are fine and so subtle that is is barely noticeable. Personally, I do not care for 13 and 14 but love 02 and may purchase the shade in the future. Unfortunately, the lipstick colors do come off easily and have a strange, clinical smell that is off-putting.


また、ソニアリキルが13と14の両方をサブライム リップスティックのサンプルとして選んだのは非常に残念です。13と14はラメの有無の違いはありますが、色が非常によく似ています。サブライム コレクションにはゴールド、グレイ、プラム、ピンクといった色がありますし、リップスティックのサンプルはコレクションの色の種類の多さを皆に知ってもらうには最適の方法であるはずです。13が合わない女性に同じような色である14が合うはずありませんし、ソニアリキルができるだけ多くの女性に新しいリップスティクラインに興味を持ってもらいたいのであれば、サンプルとして違う色を選ぶべきだったのではないかと思います。

And I have to say, I am very disappointed that Sonia Rykiel chose both 13 and 14 for their Sublime Lipstick samples. 13 and 14 are very similar shades, even though one contains shimmer. There are golds, grays, plums, and pinks in their Sublime collection and the lipstick samples are a great way to showcase the range of colors that they have to offer. Women who cannot wear 13 are unlikely to find 14 workable, either, and if Sonia Rykiel wants to get as many women interested in their new lipstick line as possible, they should have chosen a different color for their samples.

I recently added Sonia Rykiel's Eyeliner Pencil WP in EX05 to my makeup collection. The Eyeliner Pencil WPs are soft, long lasting, and very easy to use. For a more detailed review, you can read the entry I wrote on the pencil in EX 07 White Platinum.

EX05はアンティークゴールドで目に付けるととても自然に見えます。この色は暗めのアイシャドウと合わせるといい感じで夏にはバッチリですし、目を少しだけキラキラさせる良質のラメが入っています。ゴールドアイライナーは日中使ったり、ある年齢を過ぎた方には明る過ぎることがありますが、EX05は程よい薄さにワークしてくれますし、幅広い年齢層にも対応しています。これからメイクに力を入れようと思っている方や伝統的ないわゆるアイライナーカラーではない物を試したいという方には、最適かもしれません。アイライナーペンシルWPは税込2,415円で、シャープナー(税込367円)は別売りです。

EX05 is an antique gold that actually looks quite natural on the eyes. It is a shade that goes particularly well with darker eyeshadows, is perfect for summer, and contains fine shimmer that adds just a little sparkle to the eyes. Gold eyeliners can be often too bright for day or for anyone over a certain age but EX05 is just subtle enough that it is still work appropriate and looks great on women of most ages. If you are new to makeup and want to try a non-traditional eyeliner color, this shade might be right for you. The Eyeliner Pencil WP is 2,415 yen including tax. The sharpener (which is 367 yen with tax) is sold separately.

Sonia Rykiel Eclateint Water Gel Foundation

ソニア・リキルのアイライナーペンシルWPを購入した時に、３月に新しくリリースされたエクラタンルノヴァウォータージェルファンデーションとバーズブリヤントのサンプルを貰いまして、もう一つメイクベースラトゥーエクラシュブリムが付いてきました。エクラタンルノヴァは水分８０％、SPF25とPA＋＋のパウダー用ファンデーションで、５色１０〜５０があります。

My purchase of Sonia Rykiel's Eyeliner Pencil WP also came with a sample of the brand's new Eclateint Water Gel Foundation and Base Brillante released in March, as well as an extra sample of their other makeup base, L'Atout Eclat Sublime. The Eclateint Foundation is an 80% water, SPF25 PA＋＋ powder foundation that comes in five different shades, ranging from 10 to 50.


バーズブリヤントは一番新しいソニア・リキルのメイクベースです。薄くて軽く、白いベースで肌の気になる部分を滑らかにカバーして、綺麗にファンデーションを付けられるようになっています。ポロポロしたり乾燥したりという問題が全く無く、ブリヤントはすぐに肌に馴染みました。ラトゥーエクラシュブリムは正反対でした。ラトゥーエクラは人肌色ベースで、美しく輝く細かいピンクパールが入っています。ベースは肌の色には暗過ぎてもっと赤く乾燥して見えたり、肌にも全くマッチしなかったです。ファンデーションをバーズブリヤントの上に付けたらとても均一で滑らかでしたが、ラトゥーエクラシュブリムの上にやった場合はとても不均一で少し乾燥してしまいました。

Base Brillante is the newest makeup base offered by Sonia Rykiel. It is a thin, light, white makeup primer that smooths over and reduces the appearance of imperfections, allowing for a better foundation application. I had absolutely no pilling or drying problem with Brillante and it instantly blended into my skin. The L'Atout Eclat Sublime base was another story. L'Atout Eclat is a flesh-colored primer that contains fine pink pearls for a nice sparkle. The primer was too dark for my skin tone, making it look even more red and dry, and simply sat on my face instead of sinking into my skin. While the foundation was very even and smooth when I applied it over Base Brillante, it was very uneven and somewhat drying when used over the L'Atout Eclat base.


エクラタンルノヴァファンデーション自体はとても素敵でした。サンプル色は30で、他のメイクブランドのものだとOC10とOC20の間に近いですが、そのカバー力で明るく見えるかもしれません。黄色ベースですが、他の日本のベースより黄色くないです。肌に触れるとファンデーションはとても冷たく、落ち着かせてくれるので、そこが一番感動しました。他のファンデーションは息苦しく感じますが、エクラタンルノヴァは軽くて気持ちいいです。カバー力はライト〜中で水含有率がとても高いので、上手に馴染んでとても自然に見えます。もっと高いカバー力が欲しい方には、エクラタンルノヴァは薄過ぎるかもしれませんが、私みたいなロザケア顔はこれぐらいのカバーの方がいいと思います。ルナソルのスキンフュージングパウダーファンデーションと資生堂のベルベッティーファンデーションに近いですが、エクラタンルノヴァが一番柔らかで瑞々しいです。エクラタンルノヴァファンデーションとバーズブリヤントがとても気に入っていて、ファンデーションに自分の肌色に近い物があったら絶対に買いたいと思います。

The Eclateint Foundation itself was quite wonderful. The sample I received was 30 which is probably closer to something between an OC10 and OC20 for other makeup brands though it's coverage may just make it appear lighter than it really is. It is yellow-based but not quite as yellow as most other Japanese foundations. When it touched my skin, the foundation was incredibly cool and soothing which is what I liked most about it. Other foundations can feel suffocating but Eclateint is light and actually feels nice on the face. The coverage is light to medium and the high water content causes it to blend well and look natural. Those who want heavier coverage might find Eclateint to be too sheer but even with my rosacea face, I prefer it's light coverage. Lunasol's Skin Fusing Powder Foundation and Shiseido's Hydro-power Perfect Smoothing Foundations are somewhat similar to Sonia Rykiel's foundation but Eclateint is the smoothest and softest of them all. I am very pleased with both Eclateint and Base Brillante and I would most definitely consider purchasing the foundation if they had it in my skin color.

目を明るく、透明感があるように見せるために日本のメイクアーティストがよく利用している共通のテクニックはパールホワイトやシルバーアイライナーを目の下に引くことです。ソニアリキルはアイライナーとしてとても有名なので、アイライナーペンシルWPの０７ホワイトプラチナを買いました。アイライナーはパールホワイトで少しキラキラが入っています。少し薄いですが、その方がライナーが肌に自然に見えます。ペンシルWPは柔らかいので、目の下に引くには力を入れる必要があります。

A common technique used by makeup artists in Japan to make the eyes appear bright, to contribute to a translucent look, is to use a pearl white or silver eyeliner on the lower water line. Sonia Rykiel is well known for their eyeliners so I decided to purchase their Eyeliner Pencil WP in 07 White Platinum. The eyeliner is pearly white with a little bit of sparkle. It is somewhat sheer which allows the liner to look more natural on the skin. Pencil WP is also quite soft and requires little pressure to draw under the eyes.


アイライナーはウォータープルーフになっているはずなので、シャワーの中でその力を試してみました。水や石鹸でも全く落ちなくて、メイク落としオイルを使った時だけ消えました。アイライナーは目を生き生き見せてくれますが、同時に柔らかく、少し神秘的な印象も与えてくれます。多くの日本の女優やタレントは白いアイライナーを目の下に使っていますが、たまには極端に見えます。でも、ソニアリキルのアイライナーペンシルWPの07は完璧です。ソニアリキルにはとても感心していて、ペンシルアイライナーの人気さがよく分かります。税込2,415円です。

Since the eyeliner is supposed to be waterproof, I tested it in the shower to see how well it would hold up. Water and soap seemed to make no difference and it only came off with an oil makeup remover. I love how the eyeliner makes my eyes look alive yet soft and somewhat mysterious. Many Japanese actresses and talento wear white eyeliner under their eyes and sometimes it looks a bit excessive but Eyeliner Pencil WP 07 is just perfect. I am impressed with Sonia Rykiel and can understand why their pencil eyeliners are so popular. 2,415 yen including tax.
