THREE シマリング カラー ヴェール (Shimmering Color Veil) in 20 Ziggy

THREEコスメティックスは去年の秋に日本でデビューしたオーガニックメイクとスキンケアのブランドです。スキンケアでは"ナチュラル"、メイクアップでは"エッジィ"なアプローチを強調しています。ポイントメイクの中で最も人気のある商品はシマリング カラー ヴェールです。他のルースパウダー用のアイシャドウと違って、シマリング カラー ヴェールはドライではなく、肌につけるとすぐに浸透していきます。パウダーはとてもソフトでスムーズ、非常に上品なクオリティです。乾いた状態でもそれなりに発色が良いですが、より発色を良くして長持ちさせるためには、少し濡らして使用すると良いです。お望みのルックに仕上げるために、ほんの少しのパウダーを使うだけで大丈夫です。このシャドウにはラメが一杯入っていて輝きのレベルが凄いです。シマリング カラー ヴェールは職場環境には全く適しませんので気を付けて下さい。

THREE Cosmetics is an organic makeup and skincare brand that debuted in Japan last fall. While emphasizing the "natural" in skincare, THREE takes an "edgy" approach to makeup. Their most popular point make up product is the Shimmering Color Veil. Unlike other loose powder eye shadows, the Shimmering Color Veil is not dry and melts right into the skin once applied. The powder is incredibly soft and smooth, and of superior quality. Though fairly pigmented dry, to increase its power and longevity, apply the shadow wet. You only need a tiny bit of powder to achieve whatever look you desire. The shadow is chock-full of shimmer and the sparkle is intense. Shimmering Color Veil is definitely not for the office.


20 Ziggyはダークカーキブラウンで軽めの金色ラメが入っています。私は今までこれほどキラキラしたアイシャドウを見た事がありません。驚く程に軽い付け心地で、ラメが沢山入っているにもかかわらず、全くチクチクしません。Ziggyはスモーキーアイルックに最適で、特にブラウンヘアーの方に似合うと思います。アイシャドウを落とす時には必ずメイクリムーバーを使う事が大事です。ラメがとても落としにくいので、私のオススメはまずコットン等で拭き落とすことです。

20 Ziggy is described as a dark khaki brown with light gold shimmer. I do not think I have ever seen such a sparkly eye shadow before. It feels incredibly light on the eye and though it is very shimmery, it does not irritate at all. Ziggy probably works best for a smokey eye look, especially for brunettes. It is important to use makeup remover when removing the eye shadow and I highly recommend wiping it off with a cotton ball or pad first, because the shimmer is very difficult to remove.


個人的に、ルースパウダー用のシャドウは使うと散らかってしまうので好きではなかったのですが、THREEのシャドウの素晴らしいクオリティのおかげで、考え方が変わりました。今度は白や薄いピンクのシャドウを試してみたいです。シマリング カラー ヴェールは3,675円(税込み)です。

I do not usually care for loose powder eye shadows because of the mess but the excellent quality of THREE's shadows has changed my mind. I would love to try a white or pale pink shadow next. One Shimmering Color Veil is 3,675 yen (including tax).

Lancôme Virtuôse Precious Cells Mascara

ランコムのヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセルは日本で 発売された最新のランコム マスカラです。普通のヴィルトゥーズ マスカラとは違い、ヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセルは、ヒアルロン酸とリンゴから抽出された細胞エキスパンテノール（プロビタミンB5）を配合しており、まつ毛の再生と強化を手伝ってくれます。すでにヴィルトゥーズ マスカラを良くご存知の方は、ヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセルを使うとすぐに、こちらのほうが薄くて滑らか、殆どダマになったり滲んだりしないことに気づくと思います。私は蒸し暑い日に1日中ヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセルを付けていたことがありますが、まだパンダ目に悩まされたことはありません。チューブとファイバータイプのマスカラのように、ほんの僅かにマスカラがポロポロと落ちますが、外出する前に注意してティッシュで余分なマスカラを拭い取れば問題ないです。オリジナルのヴィルトゥーズ マスカラがまつ毛をボリュームアップさせるのに対し、ヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセルはまつ毛を長く、1本1本を際立たせます。個人的にはオリジナルのヴィルトゥーズ マスカラの方が劇的な結果を得られて好みですが、多くの方はプレシャスセルの質感が与えてくれる柔らかくて羽のようなまつ毛を好むのではないかと思います。両方のマスカラ共に1日中まつ毛をカールさせるキープ力は素晴らしいです。私は元々まつ毛が太くて長いので、ヴィルトゥーズ プレシャスセル マスカラのトリートメント効果については語ることが出来ませんが、オイルタイプのメイクアップリムーバーを使えば簡単に落とせますし、他のランコムのマスカラよりも簡単に落ちます。

Lancôme's Virtuôse Precious Cells is the latest Lancôme mascara released in Japan. Unlike the regular Virtuôse mascara, Virtuôse Precious Cells contains hyaluronic acid and panthenol (provitamin B5) plant cell extract from apples to help regenerate and fortify lashes. Those of you familiar with the old Virtuôse will immediately notice upon using the new mascara that the Precious Cells formula is much thinner and slicker than the original Virtuôse formula, and that there is little to no clumping or smudging. I have worn Virtuôse Precious Cells outside all day in hot and humid weather and have yet to suffer from raccoon eyes. Much like tube and fiber-type mascaras, there is just the tiniest bit of flaking but by carefully tissuing off any excess mascara from your lashes before you step outside, the flaking can be eliminated. Whereas the original Virtuous thickened lashes, Virtuôse Precious Cells lengthens and separates. I personally prefer the more dramatic results of the original Virtuôse but many will likely prefer the soft, feathery lashes that the Precious Cells formula seems to produce. Both mascaras do a wonderful job of keeping your eyelashes curled all day. I cannot speak to the treatment properties of the Precious Cells mascara as my lashes are naturally long and thick, but I can say that the mascara comes off easily with any oil-based makeup remover and is much easier to remove than the other Lancôme mascaras.

I am torn over whether I should continue using the regular Virtuôse or switch to Precious Cells. I like the volumizing properties of the regular Virtuôse but with Precious Cells, I never have to worry about smudging, clumping, or dark circles under my eyes. One Virtuôse Precious Cells mascara is 3,990 yen (including tax).

Chanel Rouge Coco in 31 Cambon

シャネルのルージュココも、今季お気に入りのリップスティックのひとつです。ルージュ・ヴォリュプよりは微かに発色が少ない(とは言うものの、それで も発色は良いです)ですが、ルージュココは驚くほど滑らかで、カラーを落とした後でも美しい色合いが長時間にわたって持続します。とても軽くてバターのような質感で、唇に付けるとすぐに馴染んで、 まるで何も塗っていないかのような感じがします。雑誌Voceでモデル中川希良が使っていた色を見て、私は31 カンボンを購入しましたが、この色は色白、ピントーン、暗い色の髪をした方にオススメします。カンボンは若々しいチェリーピンクの赤色で、シャネルの本店があるパリのカンボン通り３１番地にちなんで名付けられていま す。このリップスティックは高価な部類に入りますが、そのパフォーマンスと使いやすさを考えると、ルージュココは賢明な投資と言えるのではないかと思います。ルージュココは１つ3,750円(税込)です。

Chanel's Rouge Coco also happens to be one of my favorite lipsticks of the season. Though slightly less pigmented as Rouge Volupté (but still very pigmented nonetheless), Rouge Coco is incredibly smooth and even after it wears off, leaves a beautiful stain that lasts for hours. The formula is so light and buttery that as soon as it is applied, it melts into your lips and feels as though you are not wearing anything at all. I purchased 31 Cambon after seeing the shade on model Kira Nakagawa in an issue of Voce (image on the left) and I highly recommend the shade to any pale-faced, pink-toned, dark-haired gal interested in the Chanel lip color line. Cambon is a youthful, cherry pink-red, named after 31 rue Cambon in Paris where the House of Chanel is located. The lipstick is on the expensive side but considering its performance and wearability, I would say that Rouge Coco is a wise investment. One Rouge Coco shade is 3,750 yen (including tax).

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in 29 Rose Opéra

イヴ・サン ローランのルージュ・ヴォリュプは、現在最もお気に入りのリップスティックです。ルージュ・ヴォリュプはとても発色が良く、シルクのような滑らかさ、クリーミーで瑞々しさを与えてくれます。キープ力はなかなか良い、リップには少々輝きすらうかがえます。グロス・ピュールのように、ルージュ・ヴォリュプもスターフルーツのような香りがあります。29オペラローズはイヴ・サンローランのスプリングポイントメイクアップコレクション2010のうちのひとつとして発売された新色です。私が普段 あまり使うことの無い明るくてクールなローズピンクですが、雑誌のVoceに掲載されていたのが非常に綺麗だったので、購入しました。これは春には最適のカラーですし、明るい色のリップにはあまり興味がないという方にもチェックしてみることをオススメします。ルージュ・ヴォリュプはパッケージも豪華でデカダン派、しかも、いつでもどこでもリップを使えるように、 キャップの部分にはミラーがついています。イヴ・サンローランはリップメイクアップの登場で一気に私のお気に入りのブランドになりました。

Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Volupté is probably my most favorite lipstick at this moment. Rouge Volupté is highly pigmented, silky-smooth, creamy, and almost moisturizing. Its lasting power is fairly decent and the lipstick even has a little shine. Like Gloss Pur, Rouge Volupté has a starfruit-like scent. 29 Rose Opéra is one of the newer shades released as part of YSL's 2010 Spring Point Makeup collection. It is a bright and cool rose-pink shade that I would not normally wear but looked so beautiful in Voce magazine that I just had to have it. It is a great color for spring and even if you do not care for bright lipstick shades, I highly recommend that you at least check it out. The Rouge Volupté packaging is also very luxurious and decadent, and the cap even has a mirror to help you apply your lipstick whenever, wherever. YSL is quickly becoming my favorite makeup brand when it comes to lip makeup.

ADDICTION Eyeshadow in Eggplant 038

038 エッグプラントは、アディクション 2010年スプリングコレクション"Pastel Rainbow"の ３つの新色アイシャドウのうちの１つです。クラシックなロイヤルパープルはシックでモダン、まさにファッションの最先端です。シルバーと赤のラ メが入っていて、可愛らしいパール仕上げになっています。ラメは非常に微かなもので、付けてから1時間以内に消えてなくなってしまうほどですが、シャ ドウそのものは柔らかくて発色も良く、消えにくいです。エッグプラントはスモーキーアイに適していて、パープル嗜好の方ならメイクアップコレクションに追 加するにはもってこいの素晴らしいアイシャドウです。アディクションのシャドウは2,100円(税込み)です。Pastel Rainbowの 全てのアイシャドウは限定カラーです。ア ディクションは他に、レギュラーのラインナップの１つで素晴らしいパープルシャドウのミサというシャドウも販売しています。

038 Eggplant is one of three new eyeshadow shades in Addiction's 2010 Spring Collection "Pastel Rainbow." It is a classic, royal purple that is chic, modern and fashion-forward. It contains silver and red shimmer and has a lovely pearly-finish. The shimmer is very subtle and disappears within an hour or so of wear but the shadow itself is soft, well-pigmented and does not fade easily. Eggplant is great for a smokey eye and a wonderful eyeshadow to add to your makeup collection if you like purple hues. One Addiction shadow is 2,100 yen (including tax). All of the eye shadows in the Pastel Rainbow collection are limited edition colors. Addiction also offers another great purple shadow called Missa, which is part of their permanent collection.

On February 25th, Addiction released their 2010 Spring Collection "Pastel Rainbow," as well as two limited edition sets. The Campaign Addiction set which I purchased includes, one lipstick in 018S Poupée, one eyeshadow in 036P Limoncello, a blush in 09 Acid Pink, a mini-size Misty On skin refresher, one mini-size lipgloss in 003 Dream Pillow, and an original Addiction pouch. Poupée, Limoncello, and Acid Pink are all limited edition shades.

アディク ション オリジナルのポーチは頑 丈でスタイリッシュ、シルバーのクラッチに適度な量のパッドが入っていて、コスメを守ってくれます。結構小さいので、キャンペーンアディクションセットの ような、いくつかの製品が入るほどの大きさでしかありませんが、持ち歩くには充分の良い出来で魅力的です。

The original Addiction pouch is a sturdy and stylish, silver clutch with a fair amount of padding to keep your cosmetics safe. It is quite small and only large enough to store a few products, such as the Campaign Addiction set, but it is well-made and attractive enough to carry with you around town.

アディクショ ンリップスティックのプペはミディアム・ピンクのシアーなリップカラーです。つややかで光沢があり、潤いがありますが、幾分かしか発色がないので、もともと唇の色が薄くない方や色を ハッキリと見せたいという方は、リップコンシーラーかプライマーをつける必要があると思います。私の場合は、唇が僅かに明るくなって少しピンクになるだけですが、これは好きな色です。

The Addiction lipstick in Poupée is a medium-pink lip color that applies sheer. It is waxy, shiny and moisturizing but because it is only somewhat pigmented, you will need to wear a lip concealer or primer if your lips are not naturally pale and you want the color to really show. In my case, it only makes my lips look slightly lighter and pinker but I do like the shade.

リモンチェロは明るくて、ゴールドのようなパール感があるライムグリーン色をしたアイシャドウです。それなりに発色は 良いですが、明るい肌には微かにしか見えません。色の濃さはシャドウを湿らせて付けることで強めることが出来ますが、リモンチェロはスプリングキャンペーンのモデルに見えるほど、ドラマチックでも濃いわけでもありません。アイシャドウのパウダー自体は非常に柔らかくてスムーズ、そして私が過去にレビューした全てのアディクションのシャドウ と同じくキープ力があります。この色は春にピッタリですし、もしグリーンが好きという方には、メイクアップコレクションの中のひとつとして持つにふさわしいシャドウです。

Limoncello is a bright, lime-green eyeshadow with a pearly gold sheen. It is fairly pigmented but can look almost subtle on pale skin. You can build up its intensity by applying the shadow wet but Limoncello is not quite as dramatic or as intense as it appears on the model in the spring campaign. The eyeshadow powder itself is very soft, smooth and has great lasting power as with all of the Addiction shadows that I have reviewed in the past. It is a perfect shade for spring and if you are fond of green, it is a great shadow to have in your makeup collection.

ブラッシュ のアシッドピンクは良質な白いラメが入ったローズピンクのフェイスカラーです。このブラッシュは健康的な赤らみとピンクのパール感、そして近寄ってみないと気付かないほどですが、キラキラを与えてくれます。フェイスパウダー自体は柔らかくて多少発色が良く(恐らく暗 めの肌だと分からないかもしれません)、肌にすぐに馴染みます。これは春と夏にピッタリなブラッシュで す。

The Blush in Acid Pink is a rose-pink face color packed with fine white shimmer. The blush gives the cheeks are nice healthy flush, a pearly-pink sheen and a pretty sparkle that is only really noticeable up close. The face powder itself is soft and somewhat pigmented (though may not show on darker skin tones) and instantly blends into the skin. This is just the right blush for spring and summer.

リップグロ スのドリームピローは、ラメが入ったパール感のあるホワイトグロスです。グロスは濃くもべとつきもしませんし、シアーな仕上がりです。唇をシャイニーで少しキラキラさせます。輝きを出すために、他のリップの上からこのグロスを使うことも出来ます。

The lip gloss in Dream Pillow is a pearly-white gloss with white shimmer. The gloss is neither thick nor sticky and applies sheer. It leaves the lips shiny and just a little sparkly. You can wear it over another lip color for some shine.

ミスティオンのトラベルブレンドはオーガニックでジュニパーベリーの香りがする、センチフォリアバラ花エキスとローズウォーターも配合された、スキンリフレッシャー です。ミストは肌と気持ちをリフレッシュさせる手助けをしてくれます。疲れて”リフレッシュ”したいと感じた時に、ミスティオンを顔から20～30センチ離してスプレーします。これだけを買おうとは思いませんので、キャンペーンアディクションセットには代わりの別のグロスをもうひとつ入れて欲しかったです。

Misty On in travel blend is an organic, juniper berry scented skin refresher that also contains rosa centifolia extract and rose water. The mist is supposed to help refresh your skin and mind. When you are tired and in need of feeling "refreshed," spray Misty On 20-30 cm away from your face. This is not a product that I would purchase separately and would have preferred it if the Campaign Addiction set included another lip gloss instead.

アディクションの2010年スプリングコレクションのキャンペーンアディクションセットは春に適したポイントメイクアップセットです。唯一残念なのは、ちょっと場違いなミスティオンのスキンリフレッシャーです。ほとんどの製品を使うと思いますが、マストアイテムのコフレと言えるかというと定かではありません。もし1つか２つ の製品にしか興味がないのであれば、セットではなく、別々に買うことをお勧めします。キャンペーンアディクションセットは7,980円(税込み)です。

Overall, the Campaign Addiction set from Addiction's 2010 Spring Collection is a decent point makeup set for spring. The only disappointment is the Misty On skin refresher which seems out of place. While I do see myself using most of the products, I do not know if I would call this a must-have coffret. If you are only interested in one or two of the products, I recommend forgoing the set and purchasing the products separately. The Campaign Addiction set is 7,980 yen (including tax).

Jill Stuart 2010 Spring Collection: Jelly Lip Gloss 17 & Jewel Crystal Eyes 03

先週の金曜日にジルスチュアート ビューティーは、２色の限定ジェリー リップグロスを含む2010 スプリング ポイントメイクアップ コレクションをリリースしました。私はジェリー リップグロスの17チェリーポップを選びました。なぜだか2月号のマキアではとてもオレンジ色に見え、同じく2月号のヴォーチェではマゼンタ色に見えましたが、若々しくて魅力的なラズベリー色です。このグロスはまぁまぁ発色が良く、唇に素敵なピンクレッドの色味を与えてくれて、またピンクのラメも含まれています。他のジェリー リップグロスと同様にちょっとべと付いて濃いですが、唇をシャイニーでプリプリした感じに保ってくれます。17チェリーポップには満足していますが、もうちょっと発色が良ければなぁと思います。デイルックでもドレスアップした時のナイトルックにも良く合うと思います。ジェリーリップグロスは2,310円(税込み)です。

Last Friday, Jill Stuart Beauty released their Spring 2010 Point Makeup Collection, including two limited Jelly Lip Gloss shades. I picked up the Jelly Lip Gloss in 17 Cherry Pop. For some reason, Cherry Pop looks quite orange in the February edition of Maquia and very magenta in the February issue of Voce but it is a more youthful and attractive raspberry shade. The lip gloss is somewhat pigmented to give your lips a nice pink-red tint and contains pink shimmer. It is slightly sticky and thick like all of the Jelly Lip Glosses but leaves the lips looking shiny and plump. I am quite pleased with 17 Cherry Pop although I do wish it were slighter more pigmented. I think it would work well for both a day look and a more dressed-up night look. One Jelly Lip Gloss is 2,310 yen (including tax).


03 プリンセス サファイアはスプリング コレクションとして発売された４種類のジュエルクリスタル アイズ パレットのうちの１つです。これは私がジルで初めて買ったアイシャドウ パレットです。全てのシャドウはとてもシアーですが、ピンクとブラックは他の色よりも少し発色が良いです。色白の方にはサーモンとラベンダーはあまりハッキリと見えないかもしれません。シャドウは最初ちょっともろい感じですが、非常に柔らかくてすぐ肌に馴染み、2009 クリスマスコフレのミックスフェイスパウダー コンパクト 101マシュマロ パフィーのようです。シャドウに含まれているラメは大きめなので、プリンセス サファイアはスパークルなパレットです。他の大きめのラメが入ったシャドウと同じく、まぶたから落ちてあちこちに散らばってしまいます。ジュエルクリスタル アイズはとても可愛いですが、実用的なものとは言いがたいです。もし既にジルのパレットをお持ちでしたら、このシリーズのものはあまりオススメしません。ジュエルクリスタル アイズは熱烈なジル スチュアートのファンの方々にだけオススメします。もし、もっと発色の良いジルのアイシャドウを試してみたい方は、パレットのシャドウよりもクオリティの高いアイカラーシャドウのうちのひとつをオススメしたいと思います。ジルの多くのコスメ商品と同様、ジュエルクリスタル アイズも香りが付いています。パレットは5,250円(税込み)です。

03 Princess Sapphire is one of four new Jewel Crystal Eyes palettes released as part of the spring collection. It is also my first Jill Stuart eyeshadow palette. All of the shadows are quite sheer, although the pink and black are slightly more pigmented. If you are pale person, the salmon and lavender will not show very well on your skin. The shadows are slightly crumbly at first but are very soft and blend right into the skin, much like the Mix Face Powder Compact in 101 Marshmallow Puffy from the 2009 Christmas coffret. The glitter in the shadows is quite large, which means that Princess Sapphire is a very sparkly palette. But like all shadows with large shimmer, the shimmer falls off your lids and gets everywhere. Jewel Crystal Eyes is very cute palette but not a practical one. If you already own a Jill Stuart palette, I would not recommend purchasing one from this series. In fact, I would only recommend the Jewel Crystal Eyes to the most avid Jill Stuart fan. If you would like to try a more pigmented Jill Stuart eyeshadow, I suggest trying out one of their Eye Color shadows which are of better quality than the palette shadows, in my opinion. Like most Jill Stuart Cosmetics products, the Jewel Crystal Eyes is scented. One palette is 5,250 yen (including tax).

Anna Sui 2010 Spring Collection: Lip Rouge G & Eye Color Accent F

1月７日、アナスイ コスメティックスは2010年のスプリング ポイントメイク コレクションを発売しました。コレクションには新しいリップカラー、ネイルポリッシュ、そして限定のアイシャドウパレットがあります。私は新しいリップルージュ G（グロッシー）の200と、アイカラー アクセント Fの01を購入しました。リップルージュ Gはグロスの滑らかな質感と輝きを真似たリップスティックです。とても瑞々しいので、乾いた唇の上に先にリップジェリーやクリームを塗って柔らかくする必要なく使うことが出来ます。200はパープル色ですがリップルージュは非常にシアーで微かなパープル色味を与えるだけなので、ちょっと残念なリップカラーです。リップルージュ Gはリップスティックというより、むしろLipstick Queenのメディーバルのような、グロッシーなリップトリートメントと言ったほうが合っているかもしれません。実際、メディーバルに似ていますが、リップルージュ Gの方がよりクリーミーでシャイニー、そして香りが強いです。2,940円(税込み)です。

On the 7th of January, Anna Sui Cosmetics released their 2010 Spring Point Makeup Collection. The collection included new lip colors, nail polishes and limited edition eyeshadow palettes. I purchased the new Lip Rouge G (Glossy) in 200 and the Eye Color Accent F in 01. Lip Rouge G is a lipstick that emulates the smooth texture and shine of a gloss. It is so moisturizing that you could wear it over dry lips without applying a lip jelly or cream to soften your lips first. Though 200 is a purple shade, Lip Rouge is extremely sheer and only gives the slightest purple tint to the lips, which makes it a rather disappointing lip color. I think it would be more appropriate to describe Lip Rouge G as a glossy lip treatment like Lipstick Queen's Medieval than an actual lipstick. In fact, it is quite similar to Medieval except that Lip Rouge G is creamier, shinier and heavily scented. 2,940 yen (including tax).


一方、限定のアイカラー アクセント Fの01は、それほど残念な物ではなかったです。全てのシャドウはとても柔らかく、肌に馴染みやすいです。ラベンダーホワイトとピンクのハイライト用シャドウは両方ともパールのような輝きで、ブラックシャドウはマット、グリーンは白いラメが入ってキラキラしています。アイシャドウは程々に発色が良く、様々なカラフルなルックを作ることが出来ます。今のところ、私はシャドウをザ・ボディショップのメタリック アイディファイナーの11と合わせて、鮮やかなグリーンルックに使っています。このシャドウがもっと大きく、香りが付いていなければいいなと思いますが、この買い物には結構満足しています。アイカラー アクセント Fは2,625円(税込み)です。

The limited edition Eye Color Accent F in 01 is less disappointing. All of the shades are quite soft and blend well into the skin. Both the lavender-white and pink highlighting shadows have a pearly shine while the black shadow is matte and the green sparkles with white shimmer. The eye shadows are fairly pigmented and can be used to produce some colorful looks. So far, I have used the shadows with The Body Shop's Metallic Eye Definer in 11 for a brilliant green look. I do wish that quad was larger and not scented but I am otherwise fairly satisfied with my purchase. One Eye Color Accent F costs 2,625 yen (including tax).

SUQQU's "Yukihana" Christmas Makeup Kit A may not offer as many products as the Jill Stuart Sweetness Collection but the sleek design, quality, and wearability of Yukihana makes it my favourite coffret of the season. The coffret includes a limited edition Blend Eyeshadow palette in EX-06 Maiyuki, a limited edition Eye Lucent in EX-03 Yukigasumi and a SUQQU original pouch.


オリジナルポーチはシンプルですが、洗礼された輝きのブラウン色で、小さなサイズのブラシやリップ、グロス等を入れることの出来るポケットが付いています。旅行に最適なポーチです。

The original pouch is a simple but sophisticated shiny brown pouch with pockets for small-size brushes, lipstick or gloss. It is the perfect travel companion.


ブレンドアイシャドウのEX-06 舞雪は４色で、シアーでキラキラしたピンクベージュ(目元全体用の"ライトカラー")、発色の良いダークブラウン(目の際に付ける"キーカラー")、パールのようなオフホワイト/ベージュ(まぶた全体に使用する"アイシャドウベース")、そしてかなり発色が良く、チラチラ光るブラウン(自然なグラデーションを作り出す、キーカラーとライトカラーの中間の"エンハンサー")です。全ての色にはホワイトパールが含まれています。また、ブレンドアイシャドウにはアイシャドウブラシと両面使用出来るスポンジチップが付いています。パウダーはかなりソフトでブレンドしやすいので、この舞雪は昼でも夜でも使えます。昼にはシアーなリップかミルキーなグロスと一緒にシャドウを使い、夜にはスモーキーアイにボールドなリップカラーを試してみて下さい。ブラウン色はブラウンとヘーゼル色の目を特により際立ててくれます。

The Blend Eyeshadow in EX-06 Maiyuki contains four shades: a sheer and shimmery pink-beige (a "Light Color" for the entire eye socket area), a well-pigmented dark brown (the "Key Color" to apply along the edge of the eyelid), a pearly off-white/beige (an "Eyeshadow Base" to be applied to the whole eyelid), and a fairly-pigmented, glimmering brown (an "Enhancer" to create a natural gradation between the Key Color and Light Color). All of the shades contain white pearls. The Blend Eyeshadow also comes with a brush and a double-sided sponge-tip. The powders are quite soft and blend well and Maiyuki can be used for both day and night. Try pairing the shadows with a sheer lipstick or milky gloss for day and go for a smokey-eye and bold lip color for night. The brown shades are particularly great at enhancing brown and hazel eyes.

SUQQU describes the Eye Lucent in ex-03 Yukigasumi as a "subtle and radiant shimmer like snow to your eyes" and I think that is a fairly accurate description. The frosty, pale-pink eyeshadow goes on completely sheer but leaves a subtle but pretty white sparkle on the skin. The texture is so thin and smooth and the shimmer so fine that the shadow instantly melts into the skin as soon as it is applied. Yukigasumi works well as a highlighter under the eyes and I personally like to use it on the area right above my lid. Eye Lucent also contains a sifter to keep you from spilling out too much powder and a small puff to apply the shadow.

Though the coffret may seem a bit expensive considering that it only contains 3 different products, each product in SUQQU's Yukihana Christmas Make up Kit A is top-quality and very usable and wearable. Ever since the Christmas coffret was released, I have been wearing the Blend Shadow in Maiyuki and the Eye Lucent in Yukigasumi almost every time I step outside. 8,400 yen (including tax).

The Jill Stuart Sweetness Collection is, in my opinion, the Christmas coffret that provides the best deal out of all of the coffrets released this year. For 7,500 yen (tax), you will receive the Mix Face Powder Compact in 101 Marshmallow Puffy, an original Jill Stuart face brush to apply the face powder, the Jell Eye Color N in 103 Snow Parfait, the Jelly Lip gloss in 101 Sugar Kiss, the Nail Lacquer N in 106 Romantic Macaron, a Nail Art Sticker set and greeting card, an emery board and a Jill Stuart original pouch. If you are interested in Jill Stuart's beauty line but have never had the chance to try their products, the Christmas coffret is a great way to sample their makeup.

オリジナルポーチはフリルが付いていてお姫様のような、いかにもジルスチュアートらしいスタイルです。私はいかにも女の子っぽい感じの物はあまり好まないので、このポーチのデザインはあまり魅力的ではないですが、ポーチはかなり大きくてメイク用品を入れるには良いです。

The original pouch is very frilly and princessy, just what you would expect from Jill Stuart Beauty. I am not a girly girl so the design has no appeal to me but the pouch is quite large and great for storing makeup.

The Jelly Lip Gloss is quite similar to Lancôme's Juicy Tubes except that its formula is thinner, slightly less sticky, and contains finer shimmer. 101 Sugar Kiss goes on mostly sheer but it is jam-packed with magenta shimmer and also has a somewhat milky-appearance on the lips.

I have reviewed two different shades from the Jelly Eye Color N collection before and you may read the reviews here (07 Jewel Flash) and here (08 Crystal Sky). 103 Snow Parfait is a pale rose pink but the pink and gold shimmer in the Jelly Eye make it look warm-toned.

まだ、スウィートネス コレクションのネイル用品はまだ試してないのですが、ネイルスティッカーは非常に薄くて使いやすそうですし、エメリーボードは典型的な爪やすり、そしてネイルラッカー N106 ロマンティック マカロンはベージュピンクに良質のピンクラメが入っていて、パールのようなツヤがあります。

I have yet to try any of the nail products from the Sweetness Collection but I can say that the nail stickers are quite thin and should be easy to use, the emery board is your typical nail-file emery board, and the Nail Lacquer N in 106 Romantic Macaron is a beige-pink shade with fine pink shimmer and a pearly sheen.

ミックスフェイスパウダー コンパクト 101 マシュマロパフィーはコンパクトの中で砕けやすいですが、驚く程に柔らかく(まるでマシュマロのように!)、肌に付けるとすぐに肌に浸透します。マシュマロパフィーに入っている全4色は全てシアーで、とてもキラキラしています。とてもキラキラしているので多くの人が使うとは思えませんし、ビジネスシーンや大人の女性には最も適さない商品だと思います。フェイスパウダーとは言っていますが、私はマシュマロパフィーはボディシマーとして使うのが一番だと思うので、首や腕、またはほんの少しを目の下に付けることをオススメします。

The Mix Face Powder Compact in 101 Marshmallow Puffy is crumbly in the compact but incredibly soft (like marshmallows!) and immediately melts into the skin once it has been applied. All of the four shades in Marshmallow Puffy are sheer and extremely shimmery. It is so shimmery that I doubt many will actually use this product and it is most definitely not work appropriate or appropriate for the more mature woman. Although it is described as a face powder, I think Marshmallow Puffy would work best as body shimmer and I highly recommend applying it to your neck, arms and legs, and perhaps, just a dab under your eyes.

ミックスフェイス コンパクトのブラシは可愛らしくて(便利な)ケースに入っています。金属で出来ているので、あまり傷つきにくいですし、そのコンパクトなサイズは旅行にはもってこいです。私は普段、合成繊維のブラシだけを使うのですが、このジルのブラシはそうではないと思うので、将来的に環境に優しくて非動物性のブラシを販売して欲しいです。

The brush for the Mixed Face Compact comes in a lovely (and useful) case. Since it is made of metal, it should not damage easily and its compact size makes it a great travel product. I only use synthetic brushes, however, and I do not think that this is a synthetic brush, so I hope Jill Stuart will consider releasing eco-friendly and cruelty-free brushes in the future.

まとめると、このスウィートネス コレクションは非常に良いクリスマスコフレです。最高に素晴らしいというわけではありませんが、値段の割に多くの物が入っていますし、いくつかの商品は普通に使えそうです。覚えておいて頂きたい大事な点は、スウィートネス コレクションの全ての商品には香りが付いていて、マシュマロパフィーは少し乾燥させて、雲母を含んでいるということです。

Overall, the Sweetness Collection is a decent Christmas coffret. It is not spectacular but it gives you a lot for your yen and I can see myself regularly using some of the products. It is important to note that all of makeup in the Sweetness Collection is scented and the Marshmallow Puffy, which I found slightly drying, contains mica.

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque 75 Dragon

シャネルのルージュアリュールラックの75 ドラゴンは日本の全てのビューティー＆ハイファッション雑誌で取り上げられた今シーズンのリップカラーだと思います。2週間前に発売開始になり、グロスはオレンジレッドと表現されていますが、ルージュアリュールラックのキャンペーン写真や実際に見た感じでは、よりブルーベースのレッドに近いです。非常に発色が良いドラゴン(個人的にも、今までで最も発色の良いグロスです)は、唇に付けても容器に入った状態と全く同じで素晴らしく、深いピュアレッド
をしています。グロスのツヤは、大胆な赤色のリップを付ける時に女性が共通して持つキツく見え過ぎてしまう問題を防いでくれます。ルージュアリュールラックの他の素晴らしい点は、滑らかでベトつかず、非常に軽い感じがする点です。シャネルのスタイルや赤いリップ好きの方は間違いなくこのドラゴンを気に入ると思いますが、かなり大胆な赤色に興味が無いという方は同じコレクションの他の7色を見てみると良いと思います。ルージュアリュールラックの唯一残念な点は価格ですが、他の素晴らしいリップスティックと比べても同等、もしくはそれ以上に品質が良いと思うので、4,305円(税抜)はシャネルブランドのリップとしては妥当な値段(日本において)だと思います。

Chanel's Rouge Allure Laque in 75 Dragon is probably the most talked about lip color this season in all of the Japanese beauty and high fashion magazines. Released two weeks ago, the gloss is described as an orange-red but looks more like a blue-based red in both Chanel's Rouge Allure Laque campaign and in person. So highly pigmented, (and personally, the most pigmented gloss that I have ever encountered) Dragon, on the lips, looks exactly like the amazing, deep pure-red shade that it appears in the bottle. The shine in the gloss also prevents the lips from looking too severe which is a common problem women have when wearing a bold red lipstick. The other wonderful thing about the Rouge Allure Laque is that it is slick, sticky-free and feels quite light. Chanel beauty and red lipstick fans will absolutely love Dragon but anyone not interested in an ultra-bold red shade should probably look to the other 7 shades offered in the collection. The only downside of the Rouge Allure Laque is the price but given what it delivers, 4,305 yen (plus tax) is a somewhat fair price for a Chanel-brand lip color (in Japan) since it is no different from, or perhaps even better than, a high-quality lipstick.

Shu Uemura x Tsumori Chisato クリスマスコレクション-星に願いを

皆から愛されるファッションデザイナーの津森千里 (Tsumori Chisato) とのコラボレーションであるシュウ・ウエムラのコレクションは今年発売されたクリスマスコレクションの中で最も可愛らしいです。"星に願いを"コレクションはアイパレット、つけまつ毛(いかにもシュウ・ウエムラらしいです)、ハイライター、リップスティック、グロス、メイクツール、ポーチ、それ全てがとても可愛い猫のデザインになっている入れ物に入っています。正直なところ、コレクションの商品はウォームトーンなのでメイク商品自体には興味が無かったのですが、容器の猫のモチーフとデザインが猫好きの私の心に語りかけて来たので、デュオ カラー ハイライターのスターダスト(海外ではゴールデン スノー)と、ルージュ アンリミテッド リップスティックのヴィーナスピンクを予約しました。

Shu Uemura's winter collection, in collaboration with the much-loved fashion designer Tsumori Chisato, is the cutest Christmas collection released this year. The "Wish Upon a Star" Collection features eye palettes, false eyelashes (this is Shu, afterall), highlighters, lipsticks and glosses, makeup tools and pouches, all in ultra-adorable, kitty packaging. To be honest, I had no interest in the actual makeup part of the collection since all the products came in warm tones but the cat motif and design of the packaging spoke deeply to the cat-lady in me, so I reserved the Duo Color Highlighter in Golden Snow and the Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in Venus Pink.


デュオ カラー ハイライターのスターダスト(海外ではゴールデン スノー)は明るいピーチのようなピンクと薄いイエローゴールドが入っていて、両方ともきめ細かい白いラメが入ってシアーな感じに見えます。私の肌には、プレストパウダーを普通のハイライターとして使うよりも、非常に微かなブロンザーやブラッシュとして使う方が良いみたいです。スターダストは温かみのあるほのかな明るさと少しのスパークルを与えてくれますが、実際のハイライターのメイクとしての面に関しては多くを語ることはできません。前に言ったように、私は入れ物のデザインに惹かれて購入したので、今後メイクとして使うかは分かりません。入れ物のデザインはとても面白くて可愛いですが、その入れ物自体は分厚くてちょっと安っぽいプラスチックで出来ていて、また5,040円(税込み)という値段からも、もっと薄くてスマートで、より良いクオリティの物を期待していました。

The Duo Color Highlighter in Golden Snow ("Stardust" in Japan) contains a light, peachy-pink powder and a pale yellow-gold shade that both contain fine white shimmer and are mostly sheer. On my skin, the two pressed-powders work better as a very subtle bronzer or blush than an actual highlighter. Golden snow adds a slight warm glow and some sparkle to my face but other than that, however, I cannot really say much about the actual makeup aspect of the highlighter. As I said before, I really only purchased this product for its packaging and doubt I will be using it in the future. The case design is very whimsical and cute but the case itself is made out a chunky, sort of cheap kind of plastic and for 5,040 yen (including tax), I was hoping for something thinner, sleeker and of better quality.


ルージュ アンリミテッド リップスティックのヴィーナスピンク(アジア限定カラー)は明るくサンゴ色のピンクに近い色で、金色のラメが沢山入っています。発色は結構ありますが、唇を少し乾燥させて、リップクリームで保湿させた後に使っても唇の割れを逆にもっと目立たせてしまいます。シアーなグロスをリップカラーの上から重ねて使うとキープ力と見た目の良さが上がりますが、その助けが無いとヴィーナスピンクは均一に塗ることが出来ず不自然に見えてしまいました。このリップは肌のトーンに温かみがある方や唇の色が薄い方に向いていると思います。確かにこのリップスティックにはガッカリしましたが、可愛い入れ物に入っていて(こちらも分厚くてちょっと安っぽいプラスチックですが)、ヴィーナスピンクのような色は持っていなかったので、そこまで凄くガッカリしたというわけでもないです。3.465円(税込み)です。

The Rouge Unlimited in Venus Pink (an Asia-exclusive shade) is a bright, almost-coral pink lipstick full of gold shimmer. Though it is fairly pigmented, it is also slightly drying and accentuates the cracks in my lips even after they have been moisturized. I find that adding a sheer gloss over the lip color improves its lasting power and appearance but without any help, Venus Pink does not evenly distribute across my lips and looks very unnatural. It is definitely better suited for someone with a warm skin-tone and pale lips. But I am not completely disappointed with the lipstick because it does come in a really cute case (though it is also that cheap chunky plastic) and I do not have a shade like Venus Pink in my lip makeup collection. 3,465 yen (including tax).

MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Blue Flame

マックのスタイルブラック コレクションのミネラライズ アイシャドウ ブルーフレームは渦巻き状になった黒とダークブルーのベイクドミネラルシャドウにきめ細やかなブルーのラメがたっぷり入っています。ブルーフレームは大量のラメが入っているので、ざらつくのではないかと思っていましたが、驚く程に柔らかく薄いシャドウです。そのまま使う、もしくはグリースペイント スティックを使わずに付けると非常にシアーでいくらかぼんやりしていますが、柔らかな青いキラキラがあります。でもマックのグリースペイントのような黒いベースの上に使うと、ブルーフレームは驚くほどの青さと輝きを放ちます。それはメタリックのような仕上がりと素晴らしい輝きです。非常に力強くハッキリしたシャドウ(ベースと一緒に使うと)なので、非常に大胆 or 夜のルックに適しています。ブルーフレームはシャイで内気な方にはオススメしませんし、マックのグリースペイント スティックと一緒に使うことを強くオススメします。スタイルブラック コレクションのミネラライズ アイシャドウは日本のマックのカウンターで各2,940円(税込み)です。

MAC's Mineralize Eye Shadow in Blue Flame from the Style Black Collection is a swirl of black and dark blue baked-mineral shadow filled with delicate blue shimmer. I was expecting Blue Flame to be gritty and rough due to the abundance of glitter but it is a surprisingly soft and thin shadow. Applied dry or without the Greasepaint Stick, it is quite sheer and somewhat dull, save for a soft blue twinkle. But when used over a black-base such as MAC's Greasepaint, Blue Flame is an amazing explosion of intense blue color and shine. It has an almost metallic finish and marvelous dazzle. Because it is such a powerful, loud shadow (when used with a base), it works best for those going for a very bold or night look. I would not recommend Blue Flame to the shy and timid and I highly recommend using this shadow with one of MAC's Greasepaint Sticks. One Mineralize Eye Shadow from the Style Black Collection costs 2,940 yen (including tax) at MAC counters in Japan.

MAC Greasepaint Stick in Black

マックのグリースペイント スティックのブラックは恐らく皆が一番欲しがったスタイルブラックコレクションのアイテムだと思います。これは多用途のブラッククレヨンで、ライナー、アイシャドウ、もしくはアイプライマーとして使えます。本当に真っ黒いですが、微かに良質のパープル色のラメが入っています。シャープナーはスティックの土台に隠されていて、クレヨンはウォータープルーフになっています。

MAC's Greasepaint Stick in Black is perhaps the most coveted item from the Style Black Collection. It is a multi-purpose black crayon that can be used as a liner, an eyeshadow and eye primer. Though it goes on completely black, it also contains a hint of fine purple shimmer. A sharpener is hidden in the base of the stick and the crayon itself is waterproof.

グリースペイントスティックは、よりクリーミーで滑らかなコールのアイライナーを思い起こさせます。力を入れることなく瞼に書くことが出来て、スモーキーなルックには最適です。アイライナーとしても使えますが、クレヨンは太いので適度なラインを引くのはとても難しいです。グリースペイントという名前ですが、そこまでグリーシーではなく、素早く定着します。乾いた後は滲んだり薄くなったりしませんが、もしスモーキーアイなルックにしたい場合には、クレヨンが定着してしまう前に素早く滲ませたり薄くぼかしたりしないといけないということを意味します。シャドウとしてのグリースペイントスティックはキラキラが非常に微かなので冴えない感じですが、ベース・プライマーとしての効果はまるで魔法のようです。このクレヨンは上にのせたアイシャドウの色を引き立たせ強めますが、そのようにベースとして使わなければシアーで鮮やかさを抑えた感じになります。もしミネラライズアイシャドウを購入した方、もしくは購入を予定している方にとって、このグリースペイントスティックはマストアイテムです。グリースペイントスティックは簡単には落とせないので、適当なアイメイクリムーバーを使うようにすることが重要です。グリースペイント スティックのブラックは日本のマックのカウンターで2,940円(税込み)です。

The Greasepaint Stick reminds me of a creamier and smoother eyeliner kohl. It glides across the lid without the slightest bit of pressure and works great for a smokey eye. Though it can be used as an eyeliner, the crayon is so thick that it is very difficult to draw a precise line. Despite it's name, it is not very greasy and settles rather quickly. It does not smudge or fade after it dries but this also means that if you are going for a smokey-eye look, you will need to smudge and blend quickly before the crayon settles. As a shadow, I feel that the Greasepaint Stick is a bit dull because its sparkle is so subtle but as a base/primer, it works like magic. The crayon really brings out and intensifies the colors of eyeshadows worn over it, that would look sheer and less brilliant without it. This is most definitely a must-have product if you have purchased or plan to purchase one of the Mineralize Eye Shadows from the Style Black Collection. It is important to remember to use a proper eye-makeup remover as Greasepaint will not come off easily. The Greasepaint Stick in Black is 2,940 yen (including tax) at MAC counters in Japan.

マックのスタイルブラック コレクションは秋/冬のポイントメイクアップコレクションで最も期待された物の一つです。多くのスタイルブラック製品は日本のマックのカウンターで発売される1週間前には(予約の段階で既に)売り切れ状態でした。私は運良くコレクションの中のメイクアイテムをいくつか手にすることが出来まして、そのうちのひとつがペナルティメイト アイライナーのラピッドブラックです。

MAC's Style Black Collection was one of the most anticipated point makeup collections for the fall/winter season. Many Style Black products were sold out (through reservation) a week before they even appeared at MAC counters in Japan. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few makeup items from the collection and one of those items happens to be the Penultimate Eye Liner in Rapidblack.

ペナルティメイト アイライナーはリキッド・ペンタイプのライナーです。私が思うに、ペンライナーはアイライナーとして最も使いやすく、数あるライナータイプの中で(ペンシル、ジェル、ブラシ付きのリキッドタイプ)最も正確にラインを引けると思います。最小限の力で、1～２回まぶたの淵をなぞるだけでハッキリとしたラインになります。私は黒いラインが必要な時、大体は非常に細くてシャープなペンタイプのライナーであるカネボウ ケイトのスーパーシャープライナーを使います。ペナルティメイト アイライナーのラピッドブラックはケイトのスーパーシャープライナーに比べるとわずかに太いですが、発色はより良いです。スーパーシャープライナーのブラックはペナルティメイト アイライナーに比べるとかなりシアーですが、ナチュラルもしくはハッキリしたラインにするための濃さや発色を得るためには、場合によっては少し多めになぞる必要があります。ペナルティメイト アイライナーのブラックは真っ黒なので、一度なぞるだけで好ましいラインを引くことが出来ます。色の乾きも速いので、にじんだりこすれ落ちたりせず、一日中キープします。もしこの２つのリキッドライナーのうちの１つを選ばなければならないとしたら、ケイトのスーパーシャープライナーの3倍くらい値段が高い(日本で)ですが、迷うことなくマックのペナルティメイト アイライナーを選びます。

The Penultimate Eye Liner is a liquid, pen-type liner. When it comes to eyeliners, I find that the pen-liner is the easiest to use and the most precise out of all of the liner-types (pencil, gel, liquid liner with brush). It requires the least amount pressure and it only takes one or two strokes across the lid to achieve a bold line. When I am in need of a nice black line along my eyes, I reach for Kanebo Kate's Super Sharp Liner which is an incredibly thin and sharp pen-type liner. Penultimate in Rapidblack is slightly thicker than Kate's Super Sharp but it is also more pigmented. The Super Sharp Liner in Black is far more sheer than Penultimate and occasionally requires a few additional strokes to achieve the proper thickness and pigmentation for a natural or bold line. The Penultimate in Rapid Black comes out jet black so you only need one stroke to get a proper line. The ink also dries faster, so it is less likely to smudge or rub off, and lasts all day long. If I had to choose between the two liquid liners, I would definitely go with MAC's Penultimate though it costs almost three times as much as Kate's Super Sharp (in Japan).

マックのスタイルブラック コレクションの製品を見付けるのは非常に難しいですが、ペナルティメイト アイライナーのラピッドブラックはマックのウェブサイトや世界のマックのカウンターでまだ少し在庫が残っているスタイルブラックの製品のひとつだと思います。日本ではライナーは2,940円(税込み)ですが、諸外国ではほぼ半額の値段です。

It is very difficult to find many of the products from MAC's Style Black Collection but the Penultimate in Rapidblack may be one of the few Style Black items still in stock on the MAC website and at MAC counters across the world. In Japan, the liner costs 2,940 yen (including tax) but goes for almost half that price in other countries.

先月、私はSK-IIの「肌力キャンペーン」スキン シグネチャー トライアルキットのモニターとして10,000の中の１人に選ばれ、試用＆レビューをしました。このキットには：

それに使用方法と使う時間の詳しいインストラクションが書かれたブックレット/体験記が入っています。１週間のトライアルキットは1,000円(送料込み)で、一般的なドラッグストアで買えるスキンケアのトライアルキットと同じくらいの値段ですし、SK-IIの3Dシートマスクが1つで2,400円もすることを考えると、かなりお買い得だと思います。

Last month, I was one of 10,000 people to test and review SK-II's Skin Signature Trial Kit from their "Skin Power" campaign. The kit included:

-Facial Treatment Essence (30ml)
SK-II's most popular product, a balancing treatment essence containing over 90% pure pitera (a nutrient-rich antioxidant found in sake yeast) that smooths and renews skin
-Skin Signature (15g)
An anti-aging, moisturizing cream that helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles and firms skin.
-Skin Signature 3D Redefining Mask (1 mask)
A 2-sheet mask containing Saccharomycopsis (also known as "pitera") that soothes and softens skin, as well as improve elasticity.
-MF Quality Cotton N (10 sheets)

and a booklet/diary with detailed instructions on how to use and when to apply the products. The 1-week trial kit cost 1,000 yen (including shipping) which is the standard price for drugstore skincare trial kits and a fairly good deal considering that just one SKII 3D sheet mask costs over 2,400 yen.


私はインストラクションに注意して従いながら、1週間の肌力プログラムの初日の夜に３D リディファイニング マスクを使いました。マスクはミルキーなエッセンスがタップリ含まれており、非常に肌を落ち着かせました。マスクのデザインも付けやすく、また落ちにくいように作られています。（マスクは2枚の別々のシートになっており、1枚は額と目の周りに、もう1枚は鼻と鼻から下部分用です。）翌朝、鏡を見てみると普段よりも肌が明るく見えました。肌は滑らかでみずみずしいですがオイリーでもなくベタつきもせず、ロザケアからくる赤みも明らかに少なくなっていました。ですが、３D リディファイニング マスクに対する不満点は、目と口のために開いている穴が非常に小さいことと、値段が非常に高いということです。

Carefully following the instructions, I used the 3D Redefining Mask the first night I began SKII's week-long Skin Power program. The mask was chalk full of milky-white essence that was extremely soothing. The design of the mask also made it very easy to apply to and keep on my face. (It comes in two separate sheets: one to wear over the forehead and eye area and another for the nose on down.) The next morning when I looked in the mirror, my face looked brighter than usual; my skin was smooth and hydrated (but not oily or sticky); and the redness from my rosacea was visibly toned down. The only disappointing aspect of the 3D Redefining Mask was that the holes for the eyes and mouth were very small and the actual price of the masks is quite high.

フェイシャルトリートメント エッセンスとスキンシグネチャー クリームを使ってみましたが、残念ながら満足のいくものではありませんでした。気付いたのですが、私の肌はトリートメント エッセンスを付けるとすぐにチクチク痛み、またスキンシグネチャークリームは、3Dマスクを使った後は何ともなかったですが、それ以外は私の肌を乾燥させました。かゆい、小さな赤いポツポツが顔全体に出て、ハリがあるというよりも痛みを感じるような張り詰めた感じになってしまったので、トライアルキットを止めないといけませんでした。このキャンペーンに参加した他の人のレビューを読んでみると、非常に気に入った方とアレルギー反応が出てダメだった方とに大きく分かれたようです。

My experience with the Facial Treatment Essence and Skin Signature cream were not as pleasant, unfortunately. I noticed that, as soon as I applied the Treatment Essence, I felt a prickly sensation and the cream, except when applied after wearing the 3D mask, dried out my skin. Itchy, tiny red bumps began to show all over my face, which also felt more tight than firm in an almost painful way, and I had to quit using the trial kit. After reading many other reviews from others who participated in the Skin Power campaign, I have found that most either love these two products or have experienced some kind of allergic reaction to them.


もし機会がありましたら、トリートメント エッセンスを購入する前に試用してみることをオススメします。もし敏感肌でしたら、使わない方が良いかもしれません。スキンシグネチャーの方も、乾燥肌と敏感肌の方使用しない方が良いと思います。でも、３D リディファイニング マスクは非常に優れた商品なので、6枚で14,175円(税込み)を払っても良いという方にはオススメします。同様の物でお手頃な物にインナーシグナルのリジュブネイトマスクがあり、こちらは6枚で8,400円(税込み)です。両方ともに高額ですが、市場に出ているシートマスクの中では最高レベルです。

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend testing the Treatment Essence before making a purchase. If you have sensitive skin, you should probably avoid the product. I also think that anyone suffering from dry and/or sensitive skin should stay away from the Skin Signature cream. However, SKII's 3D Redefining Mask is an excellent product and I highly recommend it to anyone willing to pay 14,175 yen (including tax) for 6 masks. For a cheaper alternative, InnerSignal's Rejuvenate Mask comes at 6 masks for 8,400 yen (including tax). Though both are on the pricey side, they are some of the best sheets masks on the market.

The Body Shop Metallic Eye Definer

人気のあるハイファッションとビューティーの雑誌によると、メタリックアイメイクアップが今シーズンの流行らしいです。ザ・ボディショップは最近、2009年秋のメイクアップコレクションのに「メタリックアイディファイナー」というメタリックアイライナーのラインを発売しました。メタリック アイディファイナーは５つの明るい色：10ブリリアントブルー、11ヴァイブラントエメラルド、12シマーリングスティール、13バーニッシュドアンバー、そして14グローイングアメジストです。ライナーを付ける時の滑らかさに感激し、10、11、そして12の３つを買うことに決めました。

According to all the popular high fashion and beauty magazines, metallic eye-makeup is in this season. The Body Shop recently released a new line of metallic eyeliners, called the "Metallic Eye Definer," for their 2009 autumn makeup collection. The Metallic Eye Definers come in five bright shades: 10 Brilliant Blue, 11 Vibrant Emerald, 12 Shimmering Steel, 13 Burnished Amber and 14 Glowing Amethyst. After being impressed with just how smooth the liners apply, I decided to purchase three in 10, 11, and 12.

メタリック アイディファイナーは天然のワックスとマルーラナッツオイルが含まれており、クリーミーな質感と保湿成分を与えてくれます。ライナーはほとんど力を入れずにアイラインを引くことが出来るので、どなたでも簡単に使えると感じるはずです。また、このアイライナーは非常に良く混ざり合うので、ザ・ボディショップのアイトリオシャドウと合わせると非常に良い感じです。同時に、メタリックアイディファイナーはその滑らかさと混ざりやすさから非常に落ちやすく、(ザ・ボディショップのサイトではにじみ難いと記述されていますが)にじみやすいです。ウォータープルーフではないので、アイディファイナーを落とすのに苦労することはなく、ただ手にティッシュを取ってメイクを直せます。秋のメイクアップキャンペーンとして、ザ・ボディショップのモデルが10ブリリアントブルーとアイトリオの01ムーンライトラスターを合わせて使っています。ザ・ボディショップの店員さんが秋のポイントメイクのラインを使って私にメイクをしてくれた時、その店員さんはムーンライトラスターと12 シマーリングスティールを組み合わせていました。私は他の店員さんが11ヴァイブラントエメラルドとムーンライトラスターを組み合わせて使っているのも見ましたが、これら3つのライナーはムーンライトラスターと合わせて使えるものを探しているという方にはピッタリだと思います。youtubeビデオでは、ザ・ボディショップのメイクアップ アーティストのチェイス・アストンがアイトリオの02サンダウングロウと13バーニッシュドアンバーを組み合わせています。個人的14グローイングアメジストは他のライナーと比べると少し輝きが弱い感じがしますが、アストンはムーンライトラスターと一緒に使っていました。メタリックアイディファイナーは日本のザ・ボディショップで1,575円(税込み)です。

The Metallic Eye Definer contains natural waxes and marula oil which are responsible for its creamy texture and moisturizing formula. Because the liner glides on the eye line with little to no pressure, anyone will find it easy to use. It is also blends well and looks great with The Body Shop's Eye Trio shadows. At the same time, the Metallic Eye Definer rubs off easily, due to its smoothness and blend-ability, and (despite what The Body Shop claims on their website) smudges. Since it is not waterproof, however, you will not have any trouble removing the Definer and all you need is a tissue on hand to re-touch your makeup. For the fall makeup campaign, the Body Shop model is wearing 10 Brilliant Blue with the 01 Moonlight Lustre Eye Trio palette. When a Body Shop staff member did my makeup using their fall point makeup line, she paired Moonlight Lustre with 12 Shimmering Steel which looked quite nice, as well. I have also seen other staff wearing 11 Vibrant Emerald with the same palette and I highly recommend all three liners if you are looking for something to wear with Moonlight Lustre. In their youtube video, The Body Shop's makeup artist Chase Aston has paired the 02 Sundown Glow Eye Trio with 13 Burnished Amber. I personally found 14 Glowing Amethyst to be a bit dull compared to the other liners but Aston has also used the shade with Moonlight Lustre. One Metallic Eye Definer costs 1,575 yen (including tax) at The Body Shop stores in Japan.

Lancôme Declaring Indigo Palette Liberté in Indigo Royauté

パレットリベルテのインディゴ ロワイヨテ(アメリカではインディゴチャームとして知られています)は４色の青とゴールドのアイシャドウで、ランコムのディクレアリング インディゴ コレクションのひとつとして発売されました。これは今年の秋のメイクコレクションで私の興味を引いた数少ないコレクションのひとつです。多くのランコムのアイシャドウと同じく、インディゴ ロワイヨテのパウダーはきめ細かく、スムースで非常に発色が良いです。左から順に、リバティーはエレクトリック、濃いロイヤルブルーです。オダシティはパール感のあるブロンズゴールドです。チャーミングは明るい、メタリックに近いゴールドで、デクレアレーションはラメ入りのインディゴです。リバティーとデクレアレーションはコンパクト上では非常に似ていますが、デクレアレーションはインディゴ色なので目に付けるとちょっとパープルっぽいです。

The Palette Liberté in Indigo Royaute (known as Indigo Charm in the US) is an eyeshadow quad of blues and golds released as part of Lancôme's Declaring Indigo Collection, one of the few fall makeup collections that has captured my attention this year. As with most Lancôme eyeshadows, the Indigo Royauté powders are finely-milled, smooth and very pigmented. From left to right, Liberty is an electric, deep royal blue. Audacity is a pearly bronze-gold. Charming is a bright, almost-metallic gold and Declaration is a sparkling indigo. Liberty and Declaration look quite similar in the compact but because Declaration is an indigo hue, it has a somewhat purple finish on the eyes.

過去に大量に使われ過ぎたため古くさい感じがあり、ブルーシャドウは使い方を間違いやすいですが、このインディゴ ロワイヨテのブルーシャドウはファッションの最先端です。大胆でシック、そしてミステリアスです。一方、ゴールドシャドウはアイラインに良いタッチを与えますし、それだけで使用しても良いです。ひとつの不満はパレットに付いてるスポンジチップがちょっとゴワゴワしている点です。私はラッキートレンディーのTina's dresserのシャドウチップを使う方が良いと思います。

Although it is very easy to go wrong with blue shadows, as they have been overused in the past, the blue shades in Indigo Royauté are very fashion-forward. They are bold, chic and mysterious. The gold shades, meanwhile, add a wonderful touch to the eye line and also look great alone. My only complaint about palette is that the accompanying sponge tips are somewhat rough. I prefer using Lucky Trendy's Tina's dresser eyeshadow tips instead.
