FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil

FANCL's Mild Cleansing Oil has been ranked as the best oil-based, makeup-removing cleanser by @cosme for quite some time and after having the chance to try the remover myself, I have to say that it comes at no surprise. Simply apply one pump of the cleansing oil to your (dry) eye-lids, massage, rinse and watch your makeup melt away. As most of my eye-makeup is water proof, I have always had to rely on a wipe off remover in addition to an oil cleanser to wash my makeup away. But with FANCL's Cleasing Oil, my make-up removing routine no longer requires Lancôme's Bi Facil or YSL's Démaquillant Yeux's help. Just one step and I'm makeup-free.

Mild Cleansing Oil is thinner than most oil cleansers and does not leave a greasy residue or clog pores. It is gentle and does not sting nor leave the eyes dry. The remover is alcohol-free, fragrance-free and free of many other potentially-irritating ingredients. It is one of the best affordable makeup removers that I have ever used. However, it does cloud the eyes but since it does a much better job of removing makeup than DHC's Cleansing Oil and Bioré's Perfect Oil, I am willing to put up with a little temporary discomfort.

For a limited time, FANCL is selling Mild Cleansing Oil in blue bottles with a mermaid princess print designed by former Marie-Claire Germany art director and fashion illustrator, Irma (who also maintains a very fun blog, by the way). If you purchase a pack of two limited edition Cleansing Oils at local FANCL stores, you will receive a free mermaid badge/pin. One bottle of Mild Cleansing Oil costs 1785 yen (including tax).

This is really pretty. I've never been good with cleansing oils as I always end up scrubbing hard to get the remaining residue off. Maybe it's part of my imagination ^^;; We don't have Fancl here which is a pity. They have such great stuff.

I should have bought a bottle while I was still in HK. They also sold the ones with the mermaid design. Do you think this will be able to remove Majolica Majorca mascaras?

saintangelius,

You would think that FANCL would have some locations in Malaysia! They do take international orders on their fancl.com site although the shipping might be expensive. Makeup comes off very easily with the Mild Cleansing Oil but I've also noticed that other cleansing oils don't work well unless you really scrub hard. And they're hard to completely wash off, too.

Eka,

According to several reviews on @cosme, it does. Do you use the Lash Expander? I think that was the mascara mentioned the most.

jun,

I have never used SK-II's cleansing oil before so I cannot really say. FANCL's cleansing oil is ranked higher, however, so if you are dissatisfied with the performance of your cleanser, maybe you should give FANCL's a try.

Melissa,

Irma is a wonderful artist. =)

Jun,

You're probably looking at the Japanese FANCL site. The English FANCL website for international orders is:
http://www.fancl.com/

I always try to provide the English urls in the English translation of my entries. I think you clicked on the link in the Japanese part of my entry.

Elle,

I live in Japan so I'm not sure what FANCL products are available in Australia. If they are available in Australia's Chinatown, they are probably sold by an independent vendor and not listed on any FANCL websites. You might want to check some Australian beauty blogs or forums. Wish I could be of more help.

I have found Fancl products in asian stores down chinatown in melbourne, however they are ridiculously expensive eg. Fancl washing powder for $50 or Fancl mild cleansing oil for $60 plus. I jumped online and purchased a few items from an ebay seller alphabeautyuk. I've found a few other sites and sellers, however shipping cost is relatively higher or I'm too not sure whether the products are authentic.

Hi mango-pudding,

Thank you for sharing. Those prices in Melbourne are absolutely outrageous!

Have you tried looking into Fancl's international website? They ship to Australia although I'm not exactly sure how much the shipping&handling fees are.
